Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Crafter Thin consistency
I used the wheat paste for paper mâché and found that it was thin in consistency. You can add more of the product to thicken it but the unused portion thinned out overnight. If you're using the product for an extended period, mix only what you need. I was also hoping the glue would dry with some sheen to it (like wheat paste I've used in the past), this one dries matte with a trace of chalkiness.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SNaz Ok but not as good as expected for a product of this price.
From the name of the product, I assumed it was actually a paste. When I received it is when I realized it was a powder. I was using this product for paper mache so it was pretty easy to make it into a paste with water. However, no matter how much I heated the mixture and stirred, I still had a lot of clumps at the end. I expected more since I paid so much for such a small amount of product whereas I could have just used wheat flour from any supermarket and paid a fraction of the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EvilSarah This stuff is GOLD!!!
This is the good stuff! It's a little hard to find, and it's the stuff you want to use for paper mache, if you plan on sanding it. 8 layers of paper mache, if you want it good and stiff. Powder is better, because you can control the consistency. The guy that posted the bit about the lumps, obviously didn't know how to mix it right.

I was hanging an expensive velvet flocked wallpaper that the place I purchased from said needed to be hung using a wheat based wallpaper paste. The paste mixed well and even though the directions say to mix it ocassionally during use it seemed to not develop lumps even when we forgot. It was a paste the wall type wallpaper and it went up well and we only had to repaste a couple of spots and I would say that was more because of us taking too long to get the paper situated and the wall being warm and drying the paste.

I used this product as a papier mâché mix. I soaked yarn in it and wrapped it around a giant ballon to create a light fixture. It worked perfect for my needs.

Wheat paste can be used for creating collages; using the paste to "glue" things down allows you to move them if you want as you design your creation.
