Can this product be used in both a tumbling composting bin AND a worm composting bin? And it won't harm the live red wiggler worms? And as an excellirent by how much does it shorten the composting time?
Asked by: Lis
Hi, Lis. Yes, all the product is doing is introducing enzymes which the aerobic bacteria are attracted to. It increases their spawning rate so you have lots of bacteria immediately to attack the compost instead of the bacteria slowly increasing over time. You would want to moderate how much you're putting into the worm bin. If it's like a typical worm bin, it isn't more than a cubic foot or two. In that case, you'd only want to add as much as would be appropriate so as to not overwhelm the batch. Each packet will treat 12 cubic feet. As for the composting time, these enzymes will speed up composting by up to 3 times. Thanks for your question.

How soon should you start to feed the worms

How soon should you start to feed the worms
Asked by: Rod
Hi, Rod. Our compost boost is only meant to be mixed with compost piles to facilitate bacteria growth. It contains natural enzymes that the aerobic bacteria in the compost go crazy for and multiply much faster than normal. With more bacteria, your batch breaks down faster. If you have worms in said batch, they will still crawl through and eat the components at the regular rate. Hopefully this helps. Let us know if we can do anything else to help.
