I recently purchased two dozen of these water bottles to give to my employees, as a way of thanking them, for working without complaint during inventory. I kept one of the bottles for myself and put it to use right out of the box, after a quick washing.
I used the bottle for ice water and shortly after filling it, I was disappointed. The bottle began to sweat terribly and began to leave a large puddle on the surface of mahogany desk top. I placed a few folded paper towels under the bottle and it seamed to rectify the problem. So I thought!
Something required my attention and I left my office, returning 30 minutes later. The paper towels I had folded to use as a coaster were now drenched and the moisture began to soak in to the mahogany desk top. I now have a lovely water stain on what once was a very beautiful office desk.
I took the bottle home to use there when working in the yard, since I felt I couldn't use it inside. This is when the next problem was discovered. One of the key selling points of the bottle is the ability to be able to remove the top for proper cleaning. Which in fact, does work well. However, the rubber gaskets are clear in color and unknowingly had fallen out, and were obviously misplaced. Now the bottle is completely useless because without the gaskets it leaks when you try to drink from it.
Over the next few weeks I randomly asked several of my employees what they thought of the water bottle, and sadly they for the most part, had the exact same problems as myself.
A few of the employees did, however, have nothing but praise for the product.
