Depends on what caused the spot. Test in an inconspicuous area first to make sure the carpet is color fast.

I had a new kitchen installed and the contractor that installed the glass tile backsplash got some spots of tile glue on the silestone countertop.

Answer:
It's a fast-acting formula that attacks cementitious based materials like Portland cement. It would probably not damage your quartz but I recommend doing a spot test.

Answer:
The Pro Strength Remover could discolor the quartz. I would try the product in a tiny, inconspicuous spot first if possible to make sure you won't dislike the results before using on any visible area.

Over time, no matter how well you take care of your brushes, there will always be some dried paint stuck in your paint brush (especially around the ferrule).
Would this help to loosen the old deposits of latex paint from old but still good paint brushes without destroying them?

Answer:
This product is acetone and xylene and will evaporate before cleaning your brush most likely. I recommend simply using clear odorless mineral spirits.

Answer:
Try a small test area to assure that the product doesn't damage the carpet and is dissolving the paint.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not remove dried latex paint from carpet Straight Acetone did a better job, although not a good job. This stuff couldn't remove dried latex paint and I believed dissolved the carpet mastic because tufts of carpet were coming loose. Not worth the $2.92, nor the gas to return it to HD. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stuff! I used this to remove a sticky tar like substance that I found on my laundry room floor after moving the dryer. I just poured it on, let it sit for about 10 mins and it wiped right off! November 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saved a shirt that I thought was ruined... I had a lycra ski race jersey that was accidentally washed with a pair of large, sticker-type race numbers on it. The sticker residue was thick and very tacky. A hard scrub with an abrasive brush was out of the question, as it would have shredded the fabric. Several squirts of this stuff plus some gentle brushing with an old, soft toothbrush and the residue came off immediately with zero damage to the fabric underneath. Yes, the solvent odor was very noticeable on the jersey afterwards so I had to wash it 2x by itself, but Goof Off saved the day for sure. As others have noted, it is a strong solvent so use it in a well-ventilated area and avoid breathing the fumes. February 15, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by did not remove latex paint but removed some silicone culk Like the other reviewer, I tried to get some dried latex paint, but it did not work. Nothing happened to the paint, even after leaving it on for a while. It did remove silicone culk (but it did not remove the non-silicone kind). It cleaned other surfaces well, however. I am in still search of paint remover... February 28, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work on dried latex paint Seems like a very strong solvent. Purchased for the specific reason of removing dried latex paint from a sink basin that I couldn't get with a straight edge. Didn't work on the paint. Seems strong enough to remove glue residue although I haven't tried it yet. November 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked for me... I got this because I accidentally spilled a decent amount of Krazy Glue on Formica and nothing else would work. I tried nail polish remover, hot water, soap and water, Goo Gone and every other idea I found on Google. Went to Home Depot and decided to try this because it said removes glue right on the front and it worked like a charm... November 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I bought this product to get a large sticker off of a decorative electric heater that I purchased. I could not get the sticker and the glue off of the front of the electric heater. It was made of metal and should look like a fireplace. The Goof off finally got the sticker and glue off after I worked with it for several minutes and finally soaked the sticker. But along with the sticker it also took the paint. I ended up having to buy some spray paint and repaint the door on the heater. January 12, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful! My wife insisted I purchase two bottles of this. One for her and one for me. She used it to get the price stickers off of all the new dinner plates and bowls. I use it for anything and everything, it is very handy. Just follow the warning label and instructions and you are all set. November 22, 2012
