Can this product be used to remove glue from the skin ?

Asked by: Sonny
This might cause a reaction on the skin I would not recommend it, it is very strong. I'd try nail polish remover or mineral spirits first

does this product remove glue from paneling without harming paneling? ?

I removed covering over paneling and there is glue on paneling dont know how to remove the glue.
Asked by: suzieq
This can remove the glue however as far as harming the paneling it will not harm solid wood paneling but it might damage the finish especially if it is a high gloss finish. If you can test it on a hidden area of that wood first I would suggest trying that.

4 oz. Super Glue Remover is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from odd product This is an odd product. Mostly goof off products are great but this isn't one of those apply and wipe off products. I think mostly it just changes the composition of the glue to help you eventually get it off. You need more than one application and a good coarse pad, elbow grease, your nails, whatever the surface that you are cleaning can stand. Mostly I get super glue on my fingers so it was disappointing that it said to wear gloves but it did work. of course it really dried out my skin but i expected that. i was able to use it to get glue from a rodent glue trap off of my fingers but that is easier to remove than super glue. oddly it help get a little bit of stain off of my window screen that no other product would help with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for glue clean up I bought this product to remove dried on contact cement off PVC door. It worked like a charm.. It did take a little elbow grease but is to be expected with any product. I also found this product will remove permanent marker off of concrete floor and PVC door. I have not tried other services but I'm sure it will work as well for you as it did for me. (not so sure about how it would work on wood though). If nothing else works, what do you do you got to lose?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For All Super Glue Projects It works. Need I say more? Who hasn't done a project with super glue and had some get on their fingers...no matter how careful you are? I know I am like that. That is why whenever I do a super glue based project, I have this nearby with some Q-tips for application. You only need a little bit to get the glue off your skin. Then just wash with hot soapy water to get the remover off of you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have sticky glue residue to get rid of this is the product to use!! This is a serious cleaner and it does get the job done ! Read the instructions and try a spot test on painted surfaces first. I had a sliding screen door that my dog had ripped the screen multiple times. So the torn screen was duct taped to the frame and also some packing tape was used too. It was on it for at least 2 years till I decided to do something about it. If you ever had baked on duct tape residue and packing tape residue you know how hard it is to remove it! So here is how I did it. I peeled as much off as I could. Then I applied the Super Glue Remover to the areas where the adhesive was literally bonded to the frame. I used a green scotch brite pad to work the adhesive remover in and soften up the glue. It evaporates at a moderate rate and I had plenty of time to do small areas at a time. When all was said and the adhesives that were there were completely gone. I was amazed and will be using this product for all those types of sticky glue/adhesive cleaning chores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I used this to get some kind of adhesive off of my kitchen counter top. It worked as directed, although it took several applications. To me, this makes it very valuable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean OFF that glue mess! I’ve had problems with glue spots on the wooden surface of my dining room table from years of touching up small jobs that “couldn’t possibly make a mess and would only take a second”. I have a few other “goof-ups” from gluing things together in my home so; I am testing the Goo-Off 4 oz. Pro Super Glue Remover on all of my glue messes. (I was very pleased to find this type of product in a 4 oz. volume rather than the usual 0.4 oz. size.) The glue messes are mostly Super Glue but, Carpenters Glue, Outdoor Cement Glue and Silicone Seal had left traces that need to be removed. I was careful to test the Goof-Off Pro Super Glue Remover in discreet areas of surfaces that might be harmed by the process. None of the surfaces involved, including wood, tile, glass, metal and plastic showed any signs of damage or discoloration. The remover smells like acetone but has some other ingredients that affect the dried glue. I followed the instructions and placed a drop or two of the remover on the small drops of glue and appropriately more on the larger goof-ups and was careful to allow the 1—2 minutes soak time recommended on the container. None of the tests allowed me to simply wipe off the affected spots but, I was able to scratch, scrape or pry all of the goof-ups away after applying the remover. A little polish brought back the shine for wooden, tile or plastic surfaces and my wooden table looks a whole lot better. I am pleased with this addition to the Goof-Off line of products and give it a “thumbs-up” for clean-up of most glue spills. The only exception was E-6000. Goof-Off Pro Super Glue Remover has no effect on E-6000.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for plastic lens Few drops of super glue on lens. Applied and only softened and spread over larger area but would not remove. Did not try on other surfaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome stuff! There was either craft or super glue on our Silestone (Quartz) countertop that we could never remove. Tried this product, and in only two applications the glue was gone! And it did not harm the countertop. Fantastic!
