Bought it to use for audio/tech set up. Doesn't leave sticky residue on cables or cords and very good adhesive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bobby A beast in duct tape
Duct tape is generically applied since the tape has taken on more applications than just HVAC ductwork.
The Gorilla duct tape - however, is a beast! It has such a great adhesion - it should have a caution label because if you set it wrong, it practically there to stay.
The wide roll is ideal for those repair jobs like taping rips in tarps. It works great for putting together plastic corrugated sign board (stuff used for blind cheap hunting blinds).
The Gorilla tape holds in the cold and in the heat.
It's very thick. Compare the photos of ordinary duct tape to the thickness and weave of the Gorilla tape.
I'm thinking of keeping a roll of it in my truck - might come in handy as a tow rope (kidding).

I received this product for free in exchange for a fair and honest product review. This tough and wide Gorilla tape is a teacher and classroom sensation. It solves a problem I have had decorating my classroom. Previously, posters would fall off my cinder block walls. To date, nothing has fallen off the walls when stuck up by this amazing Gorilla tape. Other teachers knock on my classroom door and ask to borrow the tape all the time. I am happy to share and spread the word about this tape.

This tape delivers as advertised. How many times have you reached for the duct tape only to have a weak tape with very poor adhesion. This tape is flexible, comes off the roll with ease, and yet it sticks and holds like none I used before. It seals and holds cardboard better than packing tape. You can see from the photo, it holds 2.5 and 5lb weights securely. I didn't test it to its limit, but I did put 20lbs on it as you can see in this photo and it felt secure.

I received the Gorilla Tape a week or two ago and have not really had a good use for it, so I did my own test to see how strong it is. What I did was try a rope to a gallon water jug, once I did that I filled the container up with water I then taped the rope to my work bench hanging about six inches off the floor. The results is that 8 pounds of water is still hanging for 3 days now without falling. Very impressed with its strength, I would recommend to everyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bman Great adhesion!
I used this tape at my cabin in remote Vermont. I was stripping the cabins roof of shingles for a re-roof which turned into an all day affair. I needed to cover the roof with blue tarps to give it protection from the pop up thunderstorms that are so prevalent. I chose to tape the overlap seams to keep the wind from tearing the tarps from the roof. I had just received this tape and immediately put it to use. It is very wide, and the adhesive is quite strong. Only one length of tape was required per seam. As I had expected, we had a T-storm with strong gusty wind. The tape held the tarps together as if they were sewn together at the factory!! I am SOLD!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Texas123 Really Great Tape
I have been a fan of Gorilla products for quite some time and I find this tape to be of the same excellent qualities that I have come to expect from Gorilla. The normal Gorilla tape is about 1 7/8 inch wide and this tape is about an inch wider. It is really thick and quite sticky. You can easily tear it off of the roll or tear it into strips if you don't need it quite so wide. If you have a need for an industrial quality duct tape this would be the tape for you.

If you have never used Gorilla Tape you need to purchase some. I have used Gorilla Tape for several years. I don't use it for a few hours and or day or two because it is hard to remove. I have used it on some seats in my work van. I tried to used standard duct tape and it lasted usually about one month. I put Gorilla Tape on the seats and it last for a year. You won't be diappointed in its holding power and toughtest
