Customer Questions & Answers

Can gorilla glue be used to attach cap on a tooth in the human mouth?

Asked by: May
I broke the front half of my tooth off while eating an m&m that was in my ice cream. My wife thought I was nuts but I used Gorilla glue to glue it back on. I cleaned the tooth well and dried the area with Q-tips. I only used a small amount of glue and it held in place. I held my gum back from the tooth while I used a blow dryer for about 15 minutes to let the glue set enough for it to hold. I didn't eat or drink all night. Today is the day after. I cleaned the residual glue off with a dental pick and it looks awesome. It seems to have set perfect. And of course my wife still says I'm nuts but I think she is a little impressed.......

I have pool cover about two foot stitching come undone will this glue hold together

Asked by: Hook
Hook, The Original Gorilla Glue will be trial and error on this material. If you are able to follow the instructions to damp it, glue it, clamp it and allow the glue to cure for 24 hours, then it is worth a try. The Gorilla Glue Company

will it bond aluminum / steel with no clamping

Asked by: shoeman
Gorilla Glue is a foaming and expanding adhesive. It must be clamped or equally weighted together while the glue is curing. If you cannot clamp your surfaces, you should not use Gorilla Glue. Gorilla Construction Adhesive will work on these surfaces and it does not require any clamping.

Having a plastic knife or something like that is very useful. Another interesting thing that I found is that I originally used this in humid weather. I used it again in drier weather. It seems to work better in drier conditions. Sometimes, it is difficult to "clamp" your project together for 24 hours. If this is the case, try to hold the pieces together for at least about the first half an hour. That seems to really help with "setting" the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good glue but ... The glue has worked well with wood but will expand so do not use too much. Not good for fixing chair legs since when it expands it tends to gulp air making the join weak. Unless you plan on using a lot of it at one time I would stick to the smallest bottle you can find since this product has a very bad habit of drying out in its bottle. No matter how tight I close it I end up having to throw half the bottle away every time I buy this glue and I hate the waste. Bought the small bottle last time and sure enough only was able to use half before it glued itself in the nozzle forcing me to puncture the side it get some of the remaing glue out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds like a 900# Gorilla Pros: Strong Easy to apply Easy to clean * Cons: Bubbles up and expands I love this stuff, but you must be aware that water is the catalyst and when it reacts, it bubbles and expands. This means you must clamp the pieces together, and if any glue seeps out, you have to clean it up before it completely hardens. * Tip for cleanup: Use a razor blade or box cutter to trim off the excess while it is still flexible - about an hour after use. If you wait, it will become very hard and will be difficult to remove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bonding! Gorilla Glue is fantastic. It is easy to use and when used properly (according to the directions) is clean and forms a strong bond. I just used it to re-attached the heel of my cycling shoes and it worked great. I ALWAYS have a bottle of Gorilla Glue in the house. And they have improved the cap so that it doesn't harden in the container, meaning that it should (hopefully) last longer. Make sure you wet the surfaces to be bonded before using it because the bonding is activated by water/moisture./

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 77479 The glue holds great but dries up in the bottle before I can use even half of it. I framed a bathroom mirror 8 years ago and it is still holding . I use it for every gluing job around the house but have to buy a new bottle every time I have a project. If this could be corrected it would be awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shtuff Used the product to glue bumper feet things back on rolling luggage. Also, used it to glue a decorative trim piece back on the inside of my car door. The vinyl pad covering my wife's between seat compartment in the truck had come loose, so I glued that to. Maybe will try gluing the money and debit card in my wallet so it doesn't keep disappearing...lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Gorilla Glue worked perfectly in bonding the split 2x4 together. Great service in selecting the right glue for the job of fixing a split 2x4 support for a patio swing that had to hold up to 300 pounds when fully occupied!
