I weigh 250 is this really a strong stool, I wouldn't want it to break when I step on it, one review said it wasn't rated for 300#

Answer:
Goblin: The stool is rated for 300 pounds. However, when I weighed over 240 pounds I held my breath every time I stood on it, and it held. For a stool that is collapsible and very lightweight to carry it is surprisingly strong.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 51 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great to use anywhere around the house I have a step stool--one of the molded plastic kind--and just don't have a convenient place to keep it. It needs to be handy in the house, and not out in the detached garage, because I'll stand on a chair before I make the trek out to the garage to get it. And, I don't like standing on chairs. That where this little gem comes in. I keep it in the kitchen in the narrow spot next to the stove. It's so skinny that it shares that spot with my dough board with room to spare. The great thing is that I actually use it because it's SO handy...dusting the top of the fridge, replacing ceiling fixture light bulbs, hanging curtain rods... It's PERFECT! April 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A sturdy step stool I received my step stool and I am impressed with its' design and durability. The step stool folds flat in one piece so it can be stored in a small space. When you are ready to use the step stool, you assemble it by pushing the sides out and snapping them in to place. It's then ready to be used. When you look at the step stool, it does not appear it would be very sturdy but when I used it for the first time, I found that it was very sturdy. I am over 200 pounds and the stool held my weight without any difficulty. I have stood on some step stools that feel as if they can't take much weight. The stool is light weight so it is easy to move around. When it is in place, it does not slide around even on a tile floor which makes it seem even more sturdy. April 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow! Who would have thought?! Need a great little stool that you can actually fold up? Most little step stools are a molded one- piece item which makes it hard to store. This product actually folds up for easy, slim storage. It folds to 1 inch, which is pretty thin (see pictures),I Love that! Provided on the stool’s surface is a whole in case you’d want to store your stool by hanging it on a nail, etc. Very handy. In the world of the white plastic step stools, I’ve found this item to exceed my expectations. It looks exactly like pictured. It is really quite sturdy and you can’t beat the price. It holds up to 300 lbs and is so easy to unfold. I’ve provided pictures showing the process. It also has a large solid standing surface that snaps into place when unfolding the stool. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy step stool, good height, easy to store. I needed something to rest my feet on while I sit at a desk with a chair that's too tall for me, and this stool helps. I sometimes prefer the ones with a carrying handle (when folded) but this was available when I needed, was purchased at a good price, and it is kind of nice not to have the hole from the carrying handle in the area where I rest my feet. Thanks for coming thru, Home Depot! :) September 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed I needed a stool to aid me when getting into bathtub. Read reviews and decided to go with this one. It does exactly what I need - it is sturdy (and I am a larger woman) and folds flat for storage. I feel secure when using it. I purchased two of them. The label was not a problem for me - I started in a corner and peeled slowly and the entire label came off without tearing or leaving residue on BOTH of the stools I purchased. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stools, annoying label We just bought our 3rd and 4th of these. Lightweight enough for our toddler to move easily but sturdy enough for my 215lbs when changing a light bulb or a furnace filter. For the price of a single princess step stool, I got 4 of these! As mentioned elsewhere, the label is a pain to remove, but everything else about these are great. I was a little worried with some of the negative reviews saying they don't lock properly or aren't stable, so I tried each of them in the store before buying and haven't had a problem with any of them. (nor did I encounter any "bad" ones) January 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase my whole family uses it everyday. My 4 year old uses it to turn on lights and brush his teeth. Its light weight for him to move it by himself room to room. I use it as a chair to put on his shoes. It has many purposes and work great. April 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a great 1-step stool I began using this stool almost immediately. Compared to the several 2-step hard plastic stools we have around our house I definitely feel more comfortable standing on this one due to its 300 lb. load capacity compared to the 200 lb load limit on the other ones. I am 6' 5'' and weight considerably more than 200 lbs. Plus, the lower height allows me to sit and work on objects closer to the ground than the two-step stools without having to bend over so much. It folds up easily and stores in our kitchen pantry allowing my wife to quickly grab it to reach for objects on the top shelves of our kitchen cabinets. A great buy! December 31, 2012
