Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bobb Stool for a step up or sitting down
This was an impulse purchase. We have a variety of ladders and step stools that we use frequently. This may replace some lighter duty step stools because it will fold fairly flat to fit into a hall closet. We have found it very useful as intended as a very sturdy stool but also as a seat for getting into low cabinets and outside lawn and garden. It will fit into a plastic bag to keep the feet clean outside. The handle is helpful to rise from a sitting position.

I was immediately impressed when the step stool arrived. So many of them these days are made of plastic and other flimsy parts. The "skinny mini" is sturdy metal with minimal plastic or rubberized parts. An anti-slip surface on the step of course and a rubber like grip on the handle. But they didn't skimp on the critical parts. The unit is stable and though light, feels substantial. Easy unfolding and folding.
I need a two step version next and I definitely will be looking for the same brand. They did a good job.

Being that I'm a very short person at 5'0, I literally need step stools in just about every room and closet in my home. I believe in the safety of a step stool over using a chair or other items to simply get something off of a shelf, because of the safety aspect. I have had a chair slip out from under me, with me on top and it resulted in a sprained ankle. So, needless to say, I'm done trying to get items out of reach using that method. So step stools are a large part of my home, I like having a stylish version, like this new model, because I don't feel like I need to hide it.
I very much like the rounded tube design, over the square edges on the older model. While I liked the white color of the old version better, this one seems much more versatile and stable.
The new version features a locking mechanism underneath the step rather than the older version having a lock in the step to the under bar, that had to be forced into place (I have one of the old versions in a two step ladder).
Though this version also seems thicker than the older version when folded, I still prefer it to the older one.
I'm using it in my laundry room where I have a set of extra tall washer and dryer on pedestals. Being that they are so tall, my folding counter is also a bit high,,,as are the cabinets and shelves. This means that EVERYTHING including the soap dispenser on the washer needs to have a step stool handy to be able to allow me to reach any of them.
This stool is nice and WIDE too, this means that it allows me to reach into different areas without having to move the stool. It is nice and lightweight, too so that when I do need to move it, its not a hamper to do so.
All in all, its a nice new design, and I'm very happy with it!

We need a ladder that is light weight and easy to move and store in our office. It allows our diminutive receptionist to reach and turn safely the blind wands.

The Skinny Mini is a great easy to use single step stool ladder. It can be carried easily in one hand, folds and locks in place effortlessly, and gives you that little extra height you need. Its perfect for reaching and changing the air filter on my ac unit. I also use it in the kitchen to reach the very top shelf of some of the tall cabinets. Lastly I use it when reaching and organizing the upper shelves in my closet.
I had a 3 step ladder and it was bulky and over kill for most applications.
Lastly this stool has rubber feet to hold it in place where some have plastic which can dig and scratch wood floors.
