If I were to pick this up by the handle can I set it down and have it open up for me with one hand? OR, do I need to set it down and use my other hand to open it up?

Answer:
While mine is only one month old it is stiff to open and requires 2 hands. I would not expect it to loosen up enough to open with one hand either.

Answer:
It requires both hands because to the left on the top step is a button that you push to lock the ladder frame in place, and both hands are needed to unfold the ladder.

Answer:
This is a sturdily built step ladder so I'd say that if you are strong you might be able to hold it up with one hand and open with the other--not sure why you'd need to do it that way though. When I open it, I stabilize it by placing one hand on the handle, then with my other hand I push the little lever that's on the top step and unfold it. It's very easy to open.

Answer:
It really takes two hands to fully open this ladder. It locks into place. To fold it back up, you must release to lock button, hold the ladder at the top and then with other hand fold the step into the front structure. It you work it right you can stand in front of the ladder and with one hand partially fold the ladder.

I'm sorry I don't know. I checked the label but it doesn't show the weight. I will say I have no problem carrying it from room to room and I'm not an especially strong woman. I would think most people would have no problem carrying this ladder around.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 52 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Truly an Outstanding Purchase This heavy-duty step ladder was a surprise in quality, sturdiness and price, making it an outstanding buy to me. It folds to a perfect size to put next to my refrigerator in my kitchen, giving me very easy access, with a perfect height to get to my upper cabinet shelves. I viewed it online, liked the price, and paid online, but picked it up at my local store, avoiding the (hateful) shipping charges. It was available immediately. The checkout process was so easy. The process from start to finish to acquire the step ladder could not possibly be any easier, and the quality is outstanding. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Stepper needed for me I love this stepper, I have another one but it has been taken over by husband. I needed another one just for me inside the house. This one seems sturdier than my other. Love the rubber grip on the handle feel safer using this one. Recommend for home use especially for women. great product. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well Made Does just what you expect it to do. However, unlike some other ladders it's actually safe and secure. Well worth the investment. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Ladder Great little ladder. Literally! Fits in a small footprint when folded up. Folds and unfolds easily. There is a small button that locks in place to keep the ladder from folding up before your ready. Very sturdy. June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Those ladders are doing the job that I got them for The ladders were bought so I could get in and out of the bed of my pickup safely. I keep one in the bed locked in and the other one helps me reach thing at home safely. A great value for an elder man that needs some help at times. June 28, 2016
