This step stool is the best I've ever had. The steps are so wide and comfortable, that you feel secure even on the top step. My painting project has been easier since I bought it, and with the wide tray in front, it's better than the conventional small ladder.

We bought this ladder for our popcorn ceiling removal project. I just purchased a house and we wanted to get rid of all of it before the move in date. Well at first I picked up this ladder because it was in my price range and tall enough to reach the taller ceiling in the living room. It was definitely a happy accident. I love the platform top step, because for doing things like scraping popcorn ceiling, skim coating, and painting ceiling, it is very sturdy and comfortable to stand on. I like the tray at the top of the ladder to hold pretty much anything and it all folds down easily and compactly. Also the plastic material allows it to be easily cleaned.

I love this step ladder. I am somewhat afraid of heights & was looking for a step ladder that would allow me to paint the crown molding around my 9 ft high ceiling. This one fits the bill! It is very stable & the high grip bar and wide top step combine to make a safe & secure platform from which to paint.
A few things to know. The tray is on the small side - it can hold a can of paint but cannot accommodate a roller pan. Also, to release the tray, push OUT on the the side arms & press down.

I needed a new step-stool as my old one had a metal piece break off so was a bit dangerous to climb on. Problem is that I'm short and on all the two-steps I checked out the top step isn't tall enuf. I was a bit hesitant about climbing on a three -step but doing it slowly and with holding on to a wall or shelf it presents no problem. I didn't think I needed the tray but it comes in very handy and saves climbing back down and then up again. Live in an apartment so also bought a bracket for it to hang on inside of a closet door. A bit tricky to close tray and step-stool but instructions included at top. 100% pleased w/purchase.

This is a very sturdy stepstool. I don't always have the best balance but even on the top step I feel very secure.
What makes it stand out is the little "table" on the top - I can put my paint bucket, brushes, and tools right there so they are always handy.
Basically really well made and sturdy!

This step stool is very easy to move and store. It's easy to open if you read the directions. The tray and top step are handy. It provides a very stable yet easily movable work platform for putting up or removing wallpaper, painting, changing light bulbs, etc. The tray is excellent for paint and a few tools. Larger buckets will either have to rest partly on the lip of the tray or sit on the top step.
I was surprised that these step stools cost as much as they do, but this model at Home Depot was the best value we could find. We are very satisfied with its performance.

As I opened the package I was surprised at the weight of this ladder. I had previously looked at some other short ladders which were made of aluminum. I didn't realize that this one, which was ordered on line, was made of steel. However, once I actually put it into use, I find that the weight was not a problem for this 79 year old male, & the ridigidity is a real plus. I enjoy the fact that it has the handrail to hang on to & the tool tray to work from. I feel much more secure on this, than on my previous short step ladder, which had no handrail.
