Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Read this! Okay so I purchased this for my two youngest. It was pretty easy to assemble and 2 years later it is still standing. I will note that after a hot and sunny summer the roof is severely faded. Now I am in NJ for reference. Also if you purchase this I recommend that when it is too cold to use to take the roof off and store it while protecting this with a waterproof tarp that can be secured with rope or twine. If not you will be buying a new roof because it does tear with severe wind or just due to weathering. As far as the bottom I bought a liner. You can purchase one from the garden section if you don't want the sand to mix with the dirt under it. Good luck everyone March 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Slightly disappointed Based on the ad picture w/the two kids playing in the sandbox, you'd assume it's a big one for two or more kids to play in. In reality, it's a lot lot lot smaller! I was very disappointed when we finished building the pieces together (4 hrs) because it's really small. With all the toys and my 2 yr old in it, there's not much space to move around or build castles or so. The canopy is o.k., but doesn't really help when the sun shines on all corners (we live in Arizona, no chance of hiding from the sun!). May 9, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by If you buy for the look good purchase! this sandbox is really beautiful, my oldest son is 4 and the youngest 2, they have room to play together, obviously this sandbox is meant for a home use, if you want a huge sandbox go to the local park lol . The price is high, you really pay just for the look but if you can afford this kind of gift and want to make very happy your kids you won't be wrong with this purchase. For the assembly it was very long and you need at least 2 to put it together, nothing complicated but just so many pieces that it took about 4 hours for 2 guys to assamble. As For the quAlity, I just have the sandbox for a week, so I can't really say anything yet for the quiality of the material. August 28, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good product and happy with the purchase. Came with all pieces in tact and undamaged. Would recommend purchasing better quality screws as some were curved or warped. Excellent product for the price. Would have liked the option of same style, but a little larger size sandbox and a little bit deeper. We also purchased gorilla tape to cover any gaps in the inside as some reviews mentioned trouble with sand leaking or spilling through. Also did not come with a plastic liner for sand or bottom boards so I guess you could essentially make it as deep as you wanted. Straight forward directions and easy enough to put together. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! I bought this sandbox for my two- year old daughter and I'm very happy! It is quite sturdy once it's assembled. Assembly was fairly quick and easy. We have gotten a lot of compliments on it already. It is only big enough for three kids maximum...two comfortably, so that is accurately stated by the description. My ONLY concern is that the top will fade and tear from the weather. We had a terrible storm a week after it was up and it held up just fine. I guess only time will tell. Great product though. We just love it!!! June 26, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It turned out nice The project was not terribly complicated. Putting the trellice together at the top of each section took some doing, but the main problem for the entire project was the fasteners. They must have been made from tin. I don't even think you can purchase such poorly made fasteners at a store. If you take on this kit I would highly recommend shelling out just a little more cash to get other fasteners. The kit would have gone together much smoother if the every other screw hadn't of stripped out. June 17, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love it, but I have this sandbox for over a year. It was easy to install but it took half day to do it. Tools are required. The wood is starting to show some flaws due to weather. The only bad thing is the high of the top. It is too short, you have to keep reminding the kids to watch their heads. It is a fair size, my 5 and 3 year old son play together in there, not a lot of room but lots of fun. June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the look, covered roof & sand cover- hard to assemble though. I got this for my grandsons as a birthday gift & they love playing in it. It's roomy enough for 2 to play comfortably & the covered roof is great on a sunny day. The cover to protect the sand is great too - easy to put on & take off. The only downside is the assembly which consisted of sooo many screws! It took some time to put together. The wooden seats surrounding the sandbox could be a bit wider as well. July 23, 2011
