This is a nice play set. It took two days to assemble mainly due to rain limiting my time outside. Was able to assemble a large portion of the unit in my garage then walk it outside and set in place. Pay close attention to what size screws are called for, I used a bunch of 2 inch screws where 1.5 inch were called for. My only complaint is a few holes were not drilled straight and had to be modified to fit, and the paint/stain finish they put on it at the factory is flaking off in spots already after a week. They cover their butts by recommending to stain or seal the entire set within 90 days of setting it up. All in all it is a very sturdy set and my son loves it!

Great play set for our grand kids. We have never put anything like this together before, and took us about 11 hours over two days. Getting the set level and square was the most difficult (and most important) part. Instructions are for the most part very straight forward and clear. The numbering system for pieces was a bit confusing at first. The instructions list by dimensions, and the inventory/piece were listed as numbers and letters, but quickly figured out that a 57x12 inch board was 5700-1200 followed by the letters corresponding to the piece ie. RWB= Rock wall board etc. The grand kids couldn't wait to get on it! Some steps need 3 people, but 2 can handle the majority.

Excellent instructions. Great set. Instructions comprehensive except had to download chimney instructions from Gorilla website. Took 1.5 days with me and few hours from another person. Be prepared to drill a few holes for lag screws as described in instructions. Also get a power screwdriver and extra batteries. Sturdy and kids from 1.5 to 11 have already loved it and tested it out.

This playset is made from very high quality wood and my two daughters absolutely love it. The only drawback is our backyard has now become the gathering place for all of the kids in the neighborhood.
It is not too big, so it fits well in a compact backyard space. I hired a handyman to assemble it for me, and it took him around 10 hours to finish. Best $300 I ever spent. The assembly manual is 83 pages long, but very detailed.
I would definitely recommend the Gorilla playsets. They are worth the money.

Our kids are in love with their new playscape! My husband & father in law put it together in one afternoon. They were impressed with the detailed instructions that make it easy to put together. It has quickly became the highlight of our get togethers!

This was definitely worth the extra money to get the more robust place set design which incorporates the large beam for the swings and the all wood roof. Very easy to assemble.

Well made and sturdy. A little smaller than I had expected but adequate for my Grandchildrens age. The assembly definitely requires two people and it has some quirks in the instructions that add to the time and difficulty. Setting up the cornerposts is the most difficult part because the instructions are not clear. Once that is done it is pretty straight forward. Just an FYI, I work in manufacturing and teach blueprint reading so I know how to read and apply instructions. However, I still managed to get two of the corner posts 180° out. After I got that fixed everything fit perfectly. It took two of us about 14 hours and I still have some of the gingerbread to put on. It's 105° so I will wait till fall to finish. Buy one - your kids will love it and they will have years of fun.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mommaof2 Nice Play Set...Not So Nice Instructions!
Play set assembly instructions are terrible, which caused quite a bit of difficulty and delayed getting it put together in a timely manner! My husband and father spent a lot of time back-tracking, taking off parts they had already put together because the directions were not clear at all. My husband would study pages ahead to see if any "surprises" were coming on the section they were working on. The pictures were not consistently matching the actual set. If the directions were better, my rating would be higher! Now finally finished, the play set is nice, safe, & fun for my kids. Feels study and they enjoy having different activities to do all on one set!
