Purchased this playset about 4 weeks ago and received it about 10 days latter. 14 boxes in total and most arrived unharmed. The 3rd party movers did an ok job with the delivery but seemed annoyed to be moving so many heavy boxes. I tackle most projects myself and have a lot of tools to support many projects. Essential tools for building this playset are, cordless impact, 4 foot level, tape measure, cordless drill and shovel. The screws are mostly square bit so have a few on hand as they only give you one. You'll need a extra set of hands for a few big items like erecting towers and swing sets but the rest can be done with just one person. It took me about 16 hours total to build with 15 of those hours just being me. Instructions are good with my only complaint being the description in the text doesn't match the material key and abbreviated code on the material.
All that said the quality is good and my 5 and 3 year old love to play on it. The neighborhood kids ranging from 7-11 also enjoy it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mama2 Great playset and wide age range appropriate
This playset is awesome for my 7year old and 3year old. It is appropriate for their ages and has a lot of features that they both can use. I researched a lot of sets before purchasing this one. I liked the real roof, two houses, picnic table, multiple climbing options and all the swings/tire swing. Wood is real quality cedar. It does take a long time to put together. With three experienced construction people including a carpenter, it took 13 hours. But worth it. It's not difficult just time consuming since it's a large set with so many features. I didn't give it five stars only for the directions. They could have been much better with part numbers right in the directions instead of flipping back all the time. Also it made some sections more complicated than really were. Other than that it came with all the parts and no damaged pieces. All fit together where it was supposed to.

This is my 1st time to build a play-set for the little ones. I did a lot of research and shopping around before picking this one to get. I purchased it from the website and checked out via paypal. It shipped and was at my door in two weeks time. The carrier was excellent and very friendly. Even offered to help my carry it to the back yard. It comes on a large custom made pallet that is about 15ft long. All the boxes are heavy cardboard that hold the lumber and slide.
I was a little confused by the numbering on the boxes, as they don't really correspond to anything. Something you must do is open every single box as pieces are scattered around in not particular order. I unpacked all the boxes and started stacking according to size. Every piece was a labeled and in good shape.
I started by reading through the instructions and getting a feel for the assembly. I got a lot of hardware and still have a lot left over. pay attention to the " T-nuts" as you get two different sizes.
Assembly was not terrible. I had a family member help me get the large pine beams up and squared and level. After that I did everything else myself over the course of 1 week. Total time to build was about 20 hrs. As you ca see from the pics I did not finish the rock wall or rope ladder as my little ones are to small to use it. I did however grab some pressure treated pine and make some nice handrails for the ramp... Way better than the rope that comes with it. I tied some large rope across where the rock wall goes and well probably put it up after they get a little older.
The company sent a note in the box that said the tic-tac-toe is out of stock so it will ship when they get some in.
Overall very stable, and very well secured. I've been crawling around, on and all over that set and it doesn't even flinch for me(220lbs). I used a Thompson water sealer for the wood after assembly and just used a pump sprayer to apply it...easy, easy, easy
Its a good set for a great price considering tree frog is close to 6 grand for a comparable model....

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Skeeter The playset looks great
It took me some time and several reviews to decide on a playset. I did receive the playset and two of the boxes were badly damaged but actually only one piece of wood was damaged. It turned out being a rail and I actually had extra rails since I got the tic-tac-toe piece. The directions were pretty good. The hardest part for me was leveling the two main pieces of the playset. The directions were pretty accurate on how long it would take to put together. It took me about 20 hours with a little help from my wife. I would advise having a good power drill, preferably cordless. If I did not use that it would have at least added 10 hours to the job. I would also advise to be careful when tightening the screws. These are made of cedar, which is not a hard wood. I think if you were not careful you could screw right threw the wood that has pre-drilled holes. The reason I say this is becasue I did it once. It seems pretty sturdy and the kids love it. I did read a lot of reviews about gorilla playsets and some said the swings broke, or the stain came off or it was not sturdy. I personally would have to say all this is mainly because folks did not accurately follow the directions and maintenance for the product. Ofcourse, I have only had it for about a month now but I had a playset at my previous home and you definitely have to take care of them if you want them to last. I would recommend it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I was a little disappointed in the delivery service, I would give the product 5 stars.

When I opened the box and got started I said ")(&)^()(&^(&*^()*^)*)&)&). As we worked through the set step by step it was a breeze. If I had hired professional help it would have cost as much as the playset. 3 men worked on this set 18 hours each, not 6 hours for all of us. We took two Saturday's and had it finished. It is a major job if you are only minimally proficient with building construction. At first I thought that I was going to need a degree in building science but after we got started it became easier. The grandkids love the playset and it was worth the effort to put together. I highly recommend this set and am very satisfied.

solid construction, well made. this set has been up for a week and survived it's first children's b-day party.it took a pro 18 hrs.to assemble by himself(for the most part). i wouldn't recommend assembly for a novice. hire someone off the street who comes recommended. the laborers recommended by home depot were way too expensive. one estimate came in at 1500.00! i got lucky and found a guy who did it for 300.00! instructions could be better!

We bought this play set as a Christmas present for our two granddaughters, ages 3 and 5. We wanted something they could play with now but that would also grow with them. We were given a window of delivery and it came a day after the window. This caused some issues as we had arranged someone to build it based on the date we'd been given. It is well constructed, lots of variety and I think our granddaughters will be happy for a long time to come. However, our builder did have to go and buy a few bolts that he said were missing. Not really a big deal and likely could have been sent from the manufacture but we didn't want any further delays. Also missing were the flags, steering wheel and periscope. I called Home Depot and they thought I would hear from Gorilla today to confirm replacement shipping. I haven't heard from them yet, but I'm sure they will send them out without issue. My only flaw with the play set is the design of the bridge. On both ends, or entrances to the bridge there is a bracing board that goes right across blocking an easy step on to the bridge. This makes the girls have to bend down to get under while also stepping down on the bridge. I have never seen a design like this. They have played on many play sets with bridges and there has never been anything blocking them like this. It really hinders their play. They sort of avoid the bridge because they cannot get on and off it easily. The bridge was a big selling point for me because they have always really enjoyed playing on the bridges on other sets. We're going to have someone look at it to see if the boards can be removed/moved so that we maintain structure and safety but not hinder play. Looking at the pictures online you can see this is how it's designed but the views online really didn't show an angle where this could have been seen before purchase. We likely would have gone for a different model to avoid this. Overall though we are really happy.
