I've been using this shelving unit in my garage for five years. It was a little bit of a pain to assemble with all of tabs you need to insert into the frame for the shelf supports. The shelves needed a little thought to turn them to get them into place. Once it was assembled it worked pretty good. I did reinforce it with some tape. Don't plan on storing anything that could get the wood shelves wet. They will absorb the moisture and start to misshape. The whole unit will twist a little bit around the vertical axis, but only if you force it. For how flimsy it seems, the unit is pretty strong.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nana Finally 30" wide quality shelving
We bought an older home and are renovating on a tight budget. We wanted to change a storage closet into a pantry; however, most shelving were too big for the small dimensions 33"w x 30"d. Then we found this shelving online AND at a great price, ordered two and used the included connection bolts to create 30"w x 24"d shelving. The units are sturdy and well made. We covered each of the wood shelves with an inexpensive white lace vinyl from the local Wal-Mart fabric department and now it's perfect pantry. Thank you!

This is the best 12" wide 5 tire strong enough shelving unit I found in the market. I did lot of reaches online and in stores to find a very good shelving unit to fit the side of my garage. I wanted it to stock mostly cans of engine oil, degreasers, and other car care, and household chemicals. So I desperately needed spill resistant shelves. The particle boards have a coating on both sides is a good point.
Apart from that, I bought polythene sheets and secured on the boards with duct-tapes. Now it is a smart shelving unit.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ch0c0latedan Poor directions, unconventional structure
We found this set of shelving difficult to assemble. The directions were illustration only with no text to explain what you were doing. The illustrations were small and unclear for us. Being put together without bolts or screws was unique but difficult to do. When I bought this set of shelves online I thought I was buying a set of shelving that was 60 in. high. That was one way to configure it but because it was not the only way it could be configured there were no solid 60 in. posts for the corners. Each corner post was two 30 in. pieces which "fit" together.
It took us over 2 hours to get it together. It is up and working but If I had to do it again I would pay more for a more solid traditional set of shelves. I want bolts.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dave Correct expectations and I'm satisfied with my purchase
Exactly as advertised. Sturdy, clean, and relatively cheap.
As long as you have your brain calibrated that you're not getting $500 garage shelves for super cheap then you'll like this purchase.
The metal is sturdy, but not perfectly aligned so it requires some torquing when hammering together. It can be done by one person, I did it, but I could definitely see some folks preferring to do this with two people.
I live in a cool, Norther coastal environment and I haven't had any issues with the particle board surfaces warping or sagging as some have indicated. The heaviest thing on here is a Kitchen Aid mixer as we use it as a pseudo pantry in the garage for bulk items. We have a very small kitchen.
Owned them for about 4 months now and I've actually gone back and bought a second one.

We got this for the garage, for storing stuff that takes up too much pantry room and miscellaneous garage items. The measurements said it would fit between the garage door track and the wall, and the measurements were accurate. That was really my main concern. Additionally, the shelves go together easily and the frame is very sturdy. I was unaware of the different configuration options, which don't apply to our use, but add value to the product. The shelf material itself is pretty thin particleboard. I guess I expected a little better quality there. However, the thickness hasn't been a problem yet- probably because of the sturdy frame and small span of the shelf itself. We may go back and seal the material, either with paint or shelf paper, but it seems to hold weight just fine so far. We haven't, by any mean, maxed out the weight rating, but it seems fine. The shelves don't wobble and fit where we needed them, so we're happy.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MusicDude2 Not bad--should hold up a while under light use.
I ordered two sets of these shelves because I needed a somewhat uncommon size, and these fit the bill. It was nice to have the option of assembling them as one set of shelves or two, smaller sets of shelves. They can be connected to each other with small, metal connectors, to help stabilize them. They're not ultra-heavy duty, but they should hold up pretty well for light storage.
