Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GinnyontheFarm An excellent product, and looks nice as well
I ordered two of these to convert an empty closet into a utility storage area. Not only did I, the world's biggest clutz when it comes to getting things right side up and assembled from a diagram, manage to assemble both with a minimum of trouble, but they look great too. They would be quite suitable for a pantry or laundry room, and they hold a huge amount of heavy stuff with no problem. If you have some large items or tall containers, I suggest you assemble the outside, bottom, top and center shelves first, fastening the two tiers together as instructed. Then put your big items on that bottom shelf so you will know where the in between shelves will go. This helps a lot because there is an overhang that can fool you so it appears you have a shelf at the right level but the items you hoped to put there catch on that overhang. Taking apart and re-installing would be a pain. I also realized that the bottom shelf does not necessarily have to be down at floor level - you can put it up so that things can slide under. I would not have been able to put my upright vacuum cleaner in without using that trick. I could not be more satisfied.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GadgetGuru High Quality, Nice Looking Shelving Unit
This Rack is relatively easy to assemble. There is almost no small hardware to deal with. The instructions are pretty poor, without a single printed word. Fortunately, it is easy to figure out how to put together. It requires a fair amount of strong hammering. I used a regular hammer with a small wooden board under it to protect the rack rails. With no helper, joining the lower & upper pole sections is a bit tricky. Assembling the unit up against a wall or corner of a room is recommended. I used some masking tape to loosely keep the top section of the poles in place while joining them to the lower sections. Using the cardboard box top for assembly helps keep things in place, and will protect your floor during hammering.
This is a really Nice Looking unit. I love the off white color. It has a rich look to it. It is a Sturdy Quality Rack. I purchased two of them. I used the flexibility of possible shelf locations to suite my particular needs on each rack. On one , I spaced evenly. On the other, I spaced to allow the bottom shelf to accommodate a tall recycling bin. Only the location of the Middle shelf is fixed. Recommended!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by prosperitynow I wouldn't recommend this shelving unit.
I wouldn't recommend this shelving unit. Design of this unit is not the best. Four corner posts are made of two pieces each (which is completely stupid thing to do), second when you put it together and hummer next plank in, other planks which you already hammered in, keep sliding off. There are little holes in perimeter rails, I would assume for screwing shelves to metal rails, but no screws are provided. Unit is not very stable and for amount of money is not worth it. I will keep mine only because I needed 12" depth of shelving and this is only one which I found, but if you are not restricted by this do not buy it. I over-stared it (I gave three stars) only because there is not much on market for 12" deep.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sporges Gorilla Shelving Unit - does what it says, blends in well
Simple 'keyhole' features make this easy to put together, although you will need someting to tap it together with to avoid damaging the finish/bending the struts (either use a rubber mallet or one of the hardboard packaging pieces as a buffer for a normal hammer). Went together in about 20 minutes, is very sturdy once built and blends in nicely - does not look like a 'garage fixture' inside the house. We bought ours as an extra 'pantry' and it looks right at home in our kitchen. Adds plenty of storage space in a relatiely small foot print.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by barkgirl Exactly what I needed
Easy to put together. A bit wobbly when nothing on it but once loaded up very steady. I have it at my business and it is great for storing all those odds and ends. The shelves are adjustable and I have a mini refrigerator on it and because the shelf unit is only 12" wide I put a piece of plywood under and it works perfectly. Well worth the money - certainly bets the $800 I was quoted for a custom unit!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dawn This is a solid product, very sturdy, and exactly what I needed!
This is a sturdy product that performs well and is a good value. I used it to turn a small closet into a storage closet. Why only 4 stars? As a 100 lb, 56 year old lady, it took me 40 minutes to put together! Worth it, though.....
