I'm pretty sure you could. But these notes play into the answer: if what you are spraying is flammable, that's a no no. Also, oil based products would be harder to deal with in the clean up phase, certainly harder than clean up after latex, which only requires water. Graco specifically notes that cleaning the equipment after oil based products have been used must be done with non flammable cleaners. This Read More

Hi Jose,
Yes, you may use latex paint in this sprayer, however the paint must be thinned and may require more than one coat as a result.

There's no doubt in my mind the TC Pro2 could do a whole house. It supports up to a 517 tip and in my experience it can shoot some really thick stuff. I shot some trim paint that poured out in glops with a 315 tip and all I had to do was run it at full pressure.
Doing a whole house, I recommend that you give it a rest every once in a while ( it may get its rest while you pull yourself together) and yes

Check out accessories for it; you could get a 2nd cup and have somebody keeping you refilled or, if I recall correctly, it even has a provision for a line that goes from the gun straight to a paint can or bucket.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'm curious as I am half in need of a paint gun for basic painting jobs and half in need of a sealer / stainer for a budding small DIY work shop. I usually use teak oil, minwax stains and poly sealers etc. Is this product a good fit?

This is a really nice airless sprayer. It would be great for teak oil, stains and poly sealers. You'll like the balanced feel and the spray pattern is consistent.

Answer:
Tim,
As long as the stain you plan on spraying is either water-based or oil-based, it would be suitable with this sprayer. The sprayer is not rated for solvent based materials.

TrueCoat Pro II Airless Paint Sprayer is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's fast! Works fast, easy to use, makes a nice finish. Only needed a few minutes of practice. Worked great painting tongue and groove boards, where a brush and roller could not get into the grooves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor Tip Selection Does not come with tip for trim work! Only comes with a 10" tip, which is great for painting a shed, but you will use way too much paint trying to paint railings etc. Bought specifically to use as trim sprayer for house. When I looked at store for tip, found that they were only available online, with only two narrow tips to choose from, and only one narrow tip appropriate for latex paints. (According to Graco) Larger sprayer with better tip selection has much better control for trim. A sprayer that is billed as great for small projects should come with appropriate tip size. Works well enough, however for small jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing results! I've never used a paint gun before but this thing breezed thru my first little project (painting a closet, including the ceiling). Spend adequate time prepping & taping before the paint flies & you can have professional results. It actually took longer to clean than for the paint job. Spend the money for the cup liners. So glad I did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional quality sprayer This sprayer is amazing! It provided a flawless finish on my kitchen cabinets. It's easy to use, comes with an instructional DVD and quick start instructions. It also comes with paint liners for quick use and cleanup. You won't be disappointed, spend a little extra for this one. It's worth every penny!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pressure control Purchased this product two weeks ago and it's operation has been flawless. So far I've painted garage doors, trim and soffet. The sprayer is easy to use, adjust and clean. The pressure control is excellent and the ability to spray thick materials without thinning adds to the ease of using this sprayer..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME PAINT SPRAYER FOR SMALL JOBS Had a small spray job and didn't want to have to get more paint for the big airless sprayer. Read the reviews on the little machine and thought I'd give it a try. Really glad I did, works like a dream great quality of spray pattern and very paint efficient. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use with Pro results I bought this at the beginning of a remodeling project and it's better than I could have imagined. Painted several cabinet's and doors with great results. They look like factory coated. Great spray control and used latex right out of the can with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! This paint sprayer is incredible. It gives a smooth professional finish on anything. It's easy to use and clean. It's heavy, but easy to spray at any angle. Only drawback is that it uses a lot more paint, but it's worth it!
