I'm pretty sure you could. But these notes play into the answer: if what you are spraying is flammable, that's a no no. Also, oil based products would be harder to deal with in the clean up phase, certainly harder than clean up after latex, which only requires water. Hi Jose,
Yes, you may use latex paint in this sprayer, however the paint must be thinned and may require more than one coat as a result.

There's no doubt in my mind the TC Pro2 could do a whole house. It supports up to a 517 tip and in my experience it can shoot some really thick stuff. I shot some trim paint that poured out in glops with a 315 tip and all I had to do was run it at full pressure.
Doing a whole house, I recommend that you give it a rest every once in a while ( it may get its rest while you pull yourself together) and yes

Check out accessories for it; you could get a 2nd cup and have somebody keeping you refilled or, if I recall correctly, it even has a provision for a line that goes from the gun straight to a paint can or bucket.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'm curious as I am half in need of a paint gun for basic painting jobs and half in need of a sealer / stainer for a budding small DIY work shop. I usually use teak oil, minwax stains and poly sealers etc. Is this product a good fit?

This is a really nice airless sprayer. It would be great for teak oil, stains and poly sealers. You'll like the balanced feel and the spray pattern is consistent.

Answer:
Tim,
As long as the stain you plan on spraying is either water-based or oil-based, it would be suitable with this sprayer. The sprayer is not rated for solvent based materials.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice finish Fast setup and easy to get used to. Nice finish. Heavy August 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use and clean I was impressed with the speed and how easy it was to clean. Went through a lot of cheap poor quality paint sprayers. This one runs circles around all of them combined ! July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's fast! Works fast, easy to use, makes a nice finish. Only needed a few minutes of practice. Worked great painting tongue and groove boards, where a brush and roller could not get into the grooves. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a must have if you do a lot of painting This is my second Graco painter, the first being a Magnum Pro X7. The Pro X7 is a fine paint spraying rig but I needed something for the smaller projects. I decided to go with the true coat pro 2 over the lesser models because it offers more pressure settings and is supposed to be more durable. My first project was spraying a chest of drawers. I scuffed it up and shot it with some very thick 2 year old latex exterior paint I had laying around. Using that paint, I had to clear the tip several times to get through the the project. I attribute that to the paint. Once I got a grip on what pressure setting to use ( 9 or max) the sprayer worked fine. There is a learning process, but it's easy, it just takes time. My second job for the TrueCoat Pro2 was the trim on a shed I had built. I did all the walls with my bigger rig and left the trim (over hangs and fascia boards ) for the smaller sprayer. I used Pittsburg sun blocker exterior latex paint and it is really thick. It pours out in glops and resembles pudding. I had my doubts about the Pro2 being able to handle it but was pleasantly surprised when it shot the paint with ease, accuracy and nice even flow. I used a 315 tip and had the tool set to 9 ( max ) and didn't have one incident of clogging. Clean up is a breeze mostly because it's a small tool (compared to my large rig with 3 screens and a 50 foot hose). I can see lots of opportunity for both these grace sprayers; with the two of them I'm covered for everything. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love it excellent product just use low setting like 2 or 3 for latex paint from sherwin williams May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for small jobs! We do remodel and restoration projects and have a couple of airless and HVLP sprayers. We have had this gun for over a year and love it. It is great for small projects, accent walls and trim work. It is easy to clean and fast to set up. We have sprayed interior and exterior water based primers and paints through it using different tips with no problems. The 2 painting contractors we use also use this gun. I would definitely recommend it. March 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Machine - Very Professional This is a great machine and a very professional spray gun. I have used this big jobs and small jobs and it always works great. It should come with the 311 tip. The 515 tip is comes with is almost too much for it. Sure, if you are painting a big wall, the 515 tip is fine, but you are probably going to use the machine for painting trim, front doors, or cabinet interiors where the 515 is too much. March 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great at first but then If you put it away and try to use it a year later it won't work or at it did it to me lol June 4, 2016
