How about a Small appartment fridg lights am microwave?

Asked by: david10091
It depends on the time frame of use. Plus if you are running lights, fridge, basic's. Or the hole sha bam of a small apartment. if that were the case then up grade to more panels and a much larger power inverter. I run on a solar array plus thermal not just heat but cold here. And I'm doing okay. and working on mobile power units as trucks ran off of sun wind and what not. But back to your Question if you want to run the basic's depending on time frame plus battery's then yes this is okay. if the hole sha bam Upgrade! and view the areas of your apartment for sunlight threw out the day. And take care and be safe!

The kit does not contain enough wiring to locate the charge controller a reasonable distance from the panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Units I didnt know much about solar an the use as far as appts , but when i was thinking about traveling in my travel trailer for several months this is what i decided on compared to a Honda Generator for 2 reasons, one the same cost and no gas to use or haul around and i love it, i made mine removable so there would be no damage during travel and it works great, When u think that u have a converter and now an inverter and u use 12 power and very little 110 power , this app is ideal, i did however upgrade to the 2000watt inverter after more review research. Oh an please note that the online purchase thru Home Depot was a breeze Thanks Grape Solar and Home Depot

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good panels but... These are excelent quality panels but best bought seperate - that is not as a kit. The kit is not complete. No wireing come to hook charfe controler to the batteries, nor from batteries to inverter, also the instruction hook up booklet is poor, and hard to understand if you are not an electrition. Next you can purchase a better quality charge controler and sine inverter for less than your paying for this kit. I have spent 50 dollars more for wiring and a in line fuse, etc. It does not say in Home Depot's item description that you will need to spend more money on additional items to hook up. I could have spent less and had more if I bought the panels from Home Depot but bought the charge controler and inverter somewhere else. I wont make this mistake again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 200 watt system works great Everything you need except the wire to extend from your roof to your controller is provided in the kit , you have to make the connections by soldering or crimping the extend wires from your panels to your controller, even on cloudy winter days here in Pittsburgh my batteries stay charged and I can run my computer and light all evening.
