Look at your electric bill to see how much power you are currently using. It will be rated in kwh, which is kilowatt hours. So if you are currently using 1500 kwh/mo, divide that by 30 days to get your average daily usage - 50 kwh/day. That's 50,000 watts day. (1 kwh = 1,000 watts used for 1 hour).

Larger battery-based off-grid and grid-interactive systems are complex, and are usually around twice the cost of a grid-tied system. This is due to the added cost of batteries, charge controllers and more complex inverters. Read Less

Mounting hardware is not included, nor is a battery bank. If you send an email to support@grapesolar.com and tell us what you want to mount to we will be able to make a recommendation.

Yet, only needs something to keep their battery bank charged during large amounts of down time. This kit will do alright. The new Tesla Home batteries are going to sell for $3500 and can store up to 10kw hrs. This kit would do fine for keeping those new battery systems charged for times of blackouts and power outages.

Answer:
On an average day, this kit will produce about 1440Wh. This varies depending on your location, the tilt angle and the time of year. A load that consumes 1200W that you want run 24/7 consumes 1200 x 24 = 28,800Wh/day, which is about twenty times the output of this kit.

Answer:
We sell MC4-compatible connectors through the HD website in the following lengths: single 15-foot and 16-inch cables with connectors on both ends, and a 6-inch connector-to-bare cable (red/black pair). The cables from the panels themselves are around 3 feet long and have MC4-compatible connectors.

480-Watt Off-Grid Solar Panel Kit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grape Solar 480 I had it shipped to store. That went well. Assembly was not too complicated. You do have to fabricate your own panel rack. A little attention to detail goes a long way.
