Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great mower but handle instructions were off! I'm a 54 y.o. woman who follows instructions as written cause I'm not that great at putting things together. The instructions say to screw handles together before attaching to mower. Do not tighten screws all the way until you attach to mower or you won't get it on. Don't know why the instructions don't say it cause I was stumped as to why I couldn't attach! Searched the Internet for a visual or some sort of help, found nothing. Finally figured it out and started mowing my 5" tall it! My yard is flat with no rocks or twigs. So I'm happy for now. July 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Back To The Future Though I was nervous buying this sight unseen, the mower arrived exactly as promised -- promptly and with free shipping! All we had to do was pull it out of the box, fasten on the handles, and away we went. This mower is heavy-duty -- not cheap and plastic like the Scott's mower I bought first for nearly twice the price. The seven-blade mower assembly spins easily and cuts well, with practically no noise at all. The wheels are large and sturdy, and the handles are perfect. In this case, made in America clearly makes a difference! It reminds me of the really good hand mowers we had in our neighborhood as children. Our lawn is small and level but very scrubby and uneven, with everything from moss to bunches of taller and thicker grasses. The mower handles it all. It takes virtually no effort to push -- as soon as we used it I wondered why we had ever bothered with a gasoline powered mower. It goes everywhere with ease -- under bushes, to the edge of flower beds, along and under a split rail fence. Storage is a snap as well. Cutting the grass is now a social event in our little neighborhood -- everyone wants to see it and try it out. This is the best purchase I have made in a long time. Thank you, Home Depot! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to push for an old lady Most people these days have the gas or electric powered lawn mowers. This was not going to work for me as my yard has alot of roots half above ground. It was much easier to just do the push lawn mower and not worry about breaking the blades or drive shaft. My yard is not huge so I'm good in what I chose under my circumstances. July 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best idea I have ever had I am a senior citizen and this makes sure I get exercise every day; no maintenance that cost money I don't have; no worry about gasoline. I love my mower. June 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for camp! Received this minus one of the handles. Called the phone number provided and they sent one out immediately. Easy to put together. Cuts grass very well. Just need to make sure to rake first to get rid of pine cones and sticks, which will get stuck in the blades. As others have mentioned, it doesn't really do weeds - just sort of knocks them down temporarily. Works great for our little patch of grass at our camp. August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent mower. Are you kidding me? This thing cuts my small lawn like nobody's business. I was hesitant to buy a manual reel mower, but for $99 it was well worth the trial run. I have a small 400 sq/ft bermuda lawn and this mower gives it a quick and even trim every time. I like that it's easy to store and that I don't have to mess with gas and oil. I do have to get the trimmer out to get close to the curb and under the fence just like I would with any mower. This one's a keeper! June 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works better than any rotary mower I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about. They must have it adjusted wrong - see owners manual. This thing is not hard to push at all and it cuts SO well. Sticks and other debris will stop the blades but picking up before you mow isn't a big deal after the first time. Back to the cutting SO well part... Really, very smooth cut, I actually didn't know the mower could make such a big difference. It looks like a golf course. Also, I kind of hate to say it because I've dreaded mowing since I was 7 years old.. but it's actually kinda fun. No engine noise, no gas smell... Just watch your toes, those blades spin FAST June 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Sastisified Very easy to assemble. I was surprised how fast the blades moved. If you cut your lawn every 2-3 weeks you will have no issues. If you wait for your grass to grow long, it will take you 3-4 pass overs to get the job done. Perfect mower for small lawns August 26, 2015
