16 in. Reel Mower is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS MOWER!! Very fast shipping! I got this mower to replace my gas lawn mower because I only have a very small yard (10' X 15'). Took it out of the box and it was ready to go in less than 10 minutes. It cut through some very long grass with barely any effort. I have mixed grasses so some patches I had to go over a couple of times but it was no problem to roll it back and forth, it rolls very smooth. Things I like most are that it's quite, rinses easily with a hose, light enough to carry and doesn't take up much space to store. But most of all my favorite part about this mower is no more exhaust. All you smell is fresh cut grass!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works better than any rotary mower I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about. They must have it adjusted wrong - see owners manual. This thing is not hard to push at all and it cuts SO well. Sticks and other debris will stop the blades but picking up before you mow isn't a big deal after the first time. Back to the cutting SO well part... Really, very smooth cut, I actually didn't know the mower could make such a big difference. It looks like a golf course. Also, I kind of hate to say it because I've dreaded mowing since I was 7 years old.. but it's actually kinda fun. No engine noise, no gas smell... Just watch your toes, those blades spin FAST

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product i purchased this item because i think it's silly to spend money on gas just to keep my yard in shape. it takes a little more effort than a gas powered mower, but you don't smell like exhaust, it looks better and it's cheaper. the best part is, i did research and these reel mowers are made in America, in a factory that produces 700-900 of them a day, at the same price as the chinese made scott's version. if you're concerned about the environment, your wallet, gas prices and having a nice lawn, this is the product for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower I have two other reel mowers; the Scott 20" and another no-name I bought on Ebay. At first, I was very disappointed at how it came; it was a return from someone who didn't want it. The one wheel cover is bent and I had thoughts of immediately sending it back. Then, the handles look nothing like they do in the iinstructions. But, I put it together in less than 10 minutes. I'm staying in North Carolina to watch my son's house while he's in Iraq and he has an acre (almost) of land. But I'm an American and not afraid of using a reel mower. I liked the Scott's, but if twigs get in-between the blades you have to stop and remove them. Yesterday, I used my son's Toro self-propelled gas mower in his huge front yard. It was so heavy I ached all night from pushing it. Not to mention the garage had such terrible fumes for hours afterwards. Last week, my other son told me he'd buy me an electric mower if I wanted it, but I researched the reel mowers and didn't want him to spend a lot of money so I settled on this one. Boy, this one is a pure joy! I know from experience that reel mowers don't cut or have a hard time cutting 12" weeds, and this one is no exception, but it handled so smoothly, and cut those pesky weeds better than my Scotts! I must say I really enjoyed every minute of it! There were old leaves and twigs on the ground, but they didn't bother this little mower at all! You will not be disappointed at all! My only real gripe is why the Home Depot doesn't carry these in their stores!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mower This mower works great on my Bermuda lawn. The mower has just the proper weight to supply good momentum without bogging down. Additionally, it works well on a sloped section of my law The mower was blade was adjusted property right out of the box. All I was required to do was assemble and attach the handle and adjust the mowing height to my personal preference. Push effort was minimal as long as i kept the mowing height at a level that removes no more than 1/3 of the grass blade. I've found that mowing twice a week during the warmer months does the trick. I mow more often, but with much less effort and a better cut than cutting longer grass once a week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go Green--All Calories, No Gas I bought this about a year ago and I love it still. It's great exercise and keeps my yard at a nice height. You cannot, of course, change the blade height and you do have to be careful of sticks and other yard debris, but it's a great little mower. Only drawback is that I'm not sure how to get the blades sharpened. It's not quite sharp enough to get through the really nasty weeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the Job! I needed a lawn mower for my backyard, which is a fair size but still in the grass-growing stage (i.e., there's still a lot of dirt). I was very skeptical about buying an old-fashioned reel mower, but the display was on clearance for just $50. Took it home, tried it on thick grass over 6", and it worked great. I couldn't believe it! I am very happy with my purchase, but I don't know if I would pay over $100 for a person-powered mower. Still, it's the perfect choice for the environmentally-conscious, for low-maintenance types, or for those with not a lot of storage space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had two power mowers, one which eventually died due to using gas with ethanol (power mowers don't do well with ethanol & finding gas without it impossible these days). The other mower 's blade was bent while running over a hidden water main. So research and the desire to use less fossil fuel energy and more of my energy led me to purchase this little beauty. Assembly was 3 bolts and 2 e-rings and out to the yard I went. The lawn was long and this mower pushed right through the grass with the help of MY energy. Yep, there were some spots to do over, due to the length it had become but the finished product was even and beautiful. No, my yard does not look like a baseball outfield, but it looks like a well kept yard. I must admit of feeling some superiority while pushing it, knowing I am saving some breath of air for a future generation. There is no fear of hurting yourself or something/someone else, no required gas/oil beforehand, no noise. The only prep is picking up the small twigs before you begin (again, my energy). My friends think I am crazy and regressing 50 years by buying this...but in reality, I am ahead of the game by reducing my dependence on finite fossil fuels by my own healthy choice. What was old is new again.
