I love my reel mower, yet this year I was invaded with grassburs. I only use natural methods of weed and pest control so I felt the best way to stop the spread was to catch the seed. Once the grass was cut the grassburs seed were easily sweep from the catcher with a whisk broom. Attaches easily and the assembly was quick.

I have found a clipping catcher for my ancient push mower. With slight modification it fit and works great. No more raking after mowing the lawn. Had it shipped to the store and picking it up was quick and easy.

I am glad have this grass catcher for my 14" Scott lawn mower. It saves a lot of time, to catch the grass clippings.
Distance between lawn mower and grass catcher is far a part, the grass clippings doesn't fly in to the basket.
About 50% of grass clipping will catch.

Easy to install, easy to use. Does a great job on reel push mowers. Will catch most of your clippings.

I bought one of these to go with the Scott's 16-inch mower that I also bought from H.D. The mower came first and I was anxious to give it a try, but waited for the grass catcher. It came separately and I'll have to admit that I had my reservations. Although this was said to be Great States brand on the Website, the box said American Lawnmower Company, followed prominently by Made in China. (Is that oxymoronic, or what?)
The grass catcher was very easy to install. Once out of its flat packaging, you simply link some heavy wire parts together and use pliers (Channellocks are best) to crimp them from coming apart again. For the Scott's lawnmower the hook to go over the handle had to be bent to keep from falling off, but that was easily done. The hooks provided with the grass catcher fit as if they were made for the Scott's and the combination is a dream to use. All the grass ends up in the catcher, not on the lawn, although you do need to reach down and pull the clippings toward you into a pile every few runs.
I don't know how long this catcher will last, but for now it works just fine.

I thought this would be a great addition to our push mower, but after we attached it we realized the grass doesn't fly into the bag. We got about 1/4 of the cut grass in the mower, but at that rate it's not worth the time or effort. Just stick with your rake, or get a shop vac (yes, I did just recommend to vacuum your grass). You'll get better results with those two options.
I will say though that return process for Home Depot was FANTASTIC. We had this sent to the store, didn't have to pay for shipping, and when it didn't work we put it back in the box and brought it back. So convenient. Thanks Home Depot!
