Answer:
I needed to connect 2 of these together and I was too lazy to take it back to the store. I figured if I cut bits off I could eventually get it to fit together. It took a while and I eventually cut them both back to the corrugated pipe but I got them to attach together. See my photo.

If you need more length that the single piece provides, do not attempt to piece them together. Go with traditional black corrugated plastic. You will have to buy multiple pieces including the part that couples to your down spout, black pipe which comes in ten foot piece or long rolls and possibly a 90 degree elbow depending on your installation.

I really wanted the flex a spout to work as the tan color matched my existing gutters and downspouts, but I need to get the water 4-5 further from the house than the single piece will allow. As best I can tell, this company does not sell couplers or extensions, which is surprising and disappointing.
I get that companies build products to special dimensions to give them exclusivity for add-on products. I wish flex a spout had add-on couplers and pop-up drains. I have looked and cannot find them.
So, I will go back to the black plastic standard and call it done. Read Less

There is no off-the-shelf solution. The product shows lines near the ends that say "cut here", but if you do, you will find they are exactly the same diameter. The Flex-A-Spout web site says "Do Not cut if joining tow pieces". You will probably find that if you connect the small end to your downspout, you have the larger end to work with. But, if you try to connect the small end of another section, it Read More

I just bought two "adapters", in the same part of the store as the "Flex-A-Spouts". Guess what? They are also the exact same diameter as the Flex-A-Spout, ergo, no way to connect. And, I paid cash, and lost my receipt. Total waste. Read Less

I went to Menards and bought theirs. Just take the part off that connects to the gutter and you have an extension tube.
Yea, lame engineering, or just narrow minded.

One web site says do not cut them if fitting two or more flex-a-spouts together but if you want a leak proof connection I have discovered they do not fit or connect in anyway. Stupid engineering actually. Engineer yourself with a bit of improvising. I am going to go ahead and cut and connect two cut ends by also cutting directly inward on one so as to squeeze one end to fit into the other and making them fit together and then seal with silicone or something (duct tape). Might need replacing every few years. They are only $10 each. I need a lot of extension to clear home area and drive way (avoid sinking cement). But the two ends uncut are a sorry fit to say the least and the water will never drain down two of them without just leaking and then in winter freezing at the leak. DIY fix needed with these. Answer:
If you notice the ends are different size and shape and they fit together .You can then secure them via a screw. Very simple.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good selection foun what i needed I am pleased with the purchase of the downspout extension,it looks better and is safer than the heavy cement hazard sitting there. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, like nothing else could. I used the green downspout extension on the side of my house. Because of it's flexibility and strength I was able to devert the water from my main gutter back under my deck, this required two 45 degree turns in the flexible downspout. I was able to attach the flexible downspout to the gutter on one end and the other round end directly into a round plastic PVC pipe under the deck. This took the water 10 foot away from the house and you can not see the PVC pipe under the deck. The only other way of deverting the water would be to cut a hole in my chain link fence and you would be able to see the 10 foot round PVC pipe. I will take better pictures from under the deck if I would win. It's like a crawl space under the deck, July 5, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Green Downspout Extension LIKE THE PRODUCT IDEA, DIDN'T THINK THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT WAS WORTH THE SELLING PRICE. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD PURCHASE I needed to replace my downspouts and decided to add these flexible extensions to make sure water runoff is moved away from the foundation of the house, as is recommended. These flexible tubes have ends to fit the two most common size downspouts. That works for me and I love the green color to blend in with the surrounding landscaping. May 24, 2016
