12 in. 20-Volt Cordless Electric Lithium Trimmer/Edger-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why not qet a battery operated trimmer? Imagine if you will, a country where all tools are powered by battery, and an inventor comes up with this so called great idea called the gaoline engine. People who tried them would come on sites like these and write reviews that say, "First I had to drive to a gas station and go buy a gas can and some gasoline, and it cost about $8 bucks to buy two gallons of gas. Then I drove home and tried to get it started. I had to pull a cord on the darn thing for about five minutes to get it to started. When I finally got it to started, it quit running after three minutes, and I had to start all over again." Then imagine the person would write, "It was noisy as heck and it blew exhaust fumes into my face." Now would you buy a gas motor trimmer or stick with the battery operated trimmer. The battery operated trimmer turns on at the press of a button, doesn't need expensive gas, and doesn't blow fumes in your face. Yes the battery does run out after a while, but a gas trimmer runs out of gas, but instead of having to drive to the gas station, you walk inside the house, plug the battery in and watch TV for a half hour, then go back outside again and finish the job. When you're out in the yard, and you need to pick something up and move it, you just turn the trimmer off without worrying whether it will start up again and without pulling the starter. So the question is, why wouldn't you get a battery operated trimmer? I bought this brand because it's an American company located in my home state, North Carolina.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This trimmer works great! I have no idea why another reviewer said this thing is like a toy. No way! I'm on my third season with this trimmer and it cuts like a champ. No, it isn't as strong as a gas trimmer, but for a residential unit, it goes through just about anything you'll encounter with ease. Tall grass? Not a problem. Brush? Not an issue. I will admit I was skeptical when I bought it, wondering if the battery would give it enough juice to get the job done. The answer is yes it does. I'm on my third season with this unit and it is still running great. I have 2/3 of an acre and I can just about do all my yard trimming on one charge if I don't dawdle. I could not be happier with this unit, SO much less fuss than a gas trimmer, and ALOT quieter too. Great product, I would recommend to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has a mix of good and bad features Battery charge lasts about an hour, much less than advertised. Edge trimmer not very robust, and it takes extra time to do a good job. Other than that it is pleasant to use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not powerful enough It works like a toy and does not cut grass well. Battery only lasts for about 20 minutes and the "Toy" loosess power as it is used
