Initially I felt the price was worth what appeared to be a well-thought out and quality product. I bought over 120' of this edging would hold up well. Unfortunately I did not accurately read the label and mistook the Cedar coloring to be actual Cedar instead the "wood" product which was indicated. By the end of the first summer and escalating through the end of now the beginning of the 3rd Spring, the color faded and is now grey, ~ 75% has rotted or simply fallen apart, ~ 50% of the backing staples have pulled out, and ~ 25% of the metal stakes no longer stay in the wood many coming loose even before the wood rotted. Also, the plastic backing stiffens and twists so that it is impossible to maintain proper alignment. Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, the aesthetics are second to none and work extremely well to hold back the slope of my gardens. Yes, I thought of buying actual Cedar and making a similar product myself but with needed drilling and securing of stakes and finding plastic backing and long staples with which to secure it, I'm hopeful that less effort will be needed to help ensure a better product life by sealing the bottom and back of the product to help prevent rotting and using garden pins (like those to hold weed block in place) for better alignment before the plastic hardens. Sure am hopeful!

I purchased 12 of these these as I wanted to have a fancy edge around our pathway from our driveway to our garage. We are very pleased with the outcome. However since these only have 2 rods to stick in the ground which are not on the ends. It will be almost impossible to get them in a straight line and all the logs will shift every which way. So what we did to resolve this was bought some 1 inch x 2 inch x 6 foot boards and a box of 2 inch wood screws. The additional supplies cost us another 12 bucks but was worth it especially if you want your logs straight. We used 1 board for every 2 log edgings that we purchased. What we did was laid 2 of the log edging next to each other in our driveway. Then attached the board along the bottom where the black strip is located, in order to connect two of log edging units together. We put a screw threw the board and into each individual log. Then we installed them into the ground in the now 6 foot sections. Very happy with our path.

I loved the look of the edging, but there are not enough metal spikes to hold it properly in place. It is also very flimsy as there is one thin piece of plastic that is stapled on the back and connects all of the individual blocks. I had a really tough time getting them stand up straight and ended up pulling all of them out. The picture makes it look like there is possibly a piece of metal or wood that would keep all pieces standing straight and in formation., but they actually just go every which way. Really liked the look, but would not recomend

Rated 1 out of 5Â by JUB13 Not for outdoor use!!
I wish I'd read reviews before I impulse bought while in the local store. Looks great until the first rainy week. Faded within 4 months. Also needs longer and more stakes for it to stand upright. Not happy that the money I spent is completely wasted.
