We bought many of these beds for a community garden, creating beds of various heights and shapes. We were very pleased with how easily they were assembled and how beautiful they looked. We put an outline of the space with bricks so that the cedar would not directly touch the ground. Now after two years, some of the planks have warped, letting soil leak through. We put boards in at 2 feet which we nailed the planks to. Also there is rot at the dovetailed ends of planks and the posts. We reversed the posts and replaced some planks. I think the sides that come in contact with soil should be lined with plastic. Unless Greenes comes up with a system to improve the wear on this product, I do not recommend it. Greenes is trying to work with us to remedy our complaint and concerns.

The kit was easy to assemble. Boards were cracked and some warped. I had a top cap completely split when screwing on.. there was no primary hole created. In general I made it work but I just was not happy with the quality. As I look out my window not a single side does not have warping boards. I am disappointed.

Used two of these garden beds for a butterfly garden for the school I work for. Easy for students to assemble themselves. It also adds a nice finished look to the garden! Only thing a drill or screwdriver is needed for are the caps.

Side boards are not as thick as I would have liked. They are slightly less than 3/4 in. thick and I plan to add stakes in the middle of each span to insure they don't bow out. The wood is rough cut but that really is no problem for something that will sit outside. The boards slide into the dovetail grooves on the posts easily requiring just a few taps with a soft faced hammer to seat a few of them. I actually had to glue the bottom boards into the posts to keep them from falling out when I moved the assembled frame. I am using the frames for a vegetable garden. I bought the plastic frames last year and they worked well, but I am not sure they will hold up. I am satisfied with the wood frames.

Fast shipping and very easy to assemble! It is the perfect size for a backyard garden. It has rained heavily and has held the dirt well with no runoff of dirt.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Laura It was great while it lasted
We purchased several of these kits in Spring 2014 to assemble a raised bed vegetable garden. Assembly was easy and it looked great the first year (2014). It looked pretty ok in 2015, but now it's March 2016 and the entire thing is falling apart. The dovetail parts that inserts into the end posts have rotted away, so the sides are pulling out of the posts and spilling dirt all over my yard. We will have to tear down the entire garden and rebuild it using better materials. We had hoped that this product would last longer than 24 months, considering the cost. Now we will have to spent more time and money to replace it - very disappointing performance.
