With 12' length and 12' width, it would seem like this kit would yield 144 sf of garden area rather than 80 sf.

Customer Reviews

80 sq. ft. Dovetail Raised Bed Garden Kit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greene's provides great service I received a damaged kit with missing parts, courtesy of Home Depot's delivery. Within five minutes of my call to Greene's customer service, the replacement was on its way with 2nd day shipping. To my surprise, they shipped an entire box of components, not just the exact count of missing items. The kit is very easy to assemble; some boards are rough and I'd recommend wearing gloves, but no defects and everything went together smoothly. The kit can be configured in many different patterns and depths, not just as illustrated. Filled with "Mel's Mix" (1 part compost, 1 part perlite, 1 part peat) and everything is growing beautifully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is very well crafted and simple to assemble I'm a food blogger and decided to create a kitchen garden to write about in addition to my food and recipes. I chose this model because of the ability to add on as I wish to increase my garden's size. I assembled this kit by myself in about an hour without using tools, except to screw on the top caps. It's beautiful and I simply cannot wait for my first vegetables to harvest. P~

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My new raised bed Had to wait almost a month for the snow to melt before I could assemble this in my backyard. It went together real easy, just needed a screwdriver to put on the final pieces. Now that it is done and the seeds and plants are growing it looks really sweet. It is tall enough that the grass clipping from the mower are not flying into the bed. Less weeding so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up, but a little pricey The gardens were very easy to assemble, and I like the versatility in configuring your own set up. In the end however, I chose to build it as it was shown in the instructions to make the best use of all the pieces in the kit, without having to figure all the quirks out to reconfigure it. For the price, I thought the quality of the wood would have been a bit better. The cuts were very rough, and are not sanded. A few splinters later, I smartened up and wore gloves to assemble everything. Overall it is a good product, and looks nice assembled and filled with plants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Specs don't really explain what you will receive I have ordered from HD 5 raised beds. The product is wonderful and very easy to put together, however; these items should have the feature of being sold seperately. Not everyone has or needs the 4' space. I have had to cut slats and ended up not having enough end posts. When placing a flower bed around an entire house; I only wanted/needed 2' width X hundreds of feet. I am now in the position to order again, knowing I will pay twice the amount $$ to receive what I need to finish my project and have extra slats that will serve no use to me.
