How wide is the inside of the structure?

I am assuming that the 61" width applies to the outer edge of the roof, on the structure.
I need to know if a fountain we own will fit inside of this when fully assembled. What is the inside width of this?

Thank you,

I am shopping for an arbor and noticed reviewer "Gardenaholic" stated on June 8, 2009 that "the arbor assembled is only 51 inches wide at the inside... the actual width is 61 at the top" ...side-to-side at its widest point, as you correctly assumed. Also note that s/he says "anyone six foot or taller will need to duck to walk under... actual [height] is under 84 from the top of the assembly." I guess Read More

I guess that makes the actual *walk-through* height very close to six feet, or 72" instead of 84. Good to know! Read Less

Answer:
It will depend on the size and weight of the flower pot you have in mind. Small to medioum sized lightweight pots will be fine in my opinion.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what we wanted! We bought this arbor to replace one at least 15 years old, which had deteriorated from weather exposure. Had to modify it to fit against the garage wall (as we'd done with the original), but aside from that it went up easily and is much better quality than our first one. The vertical-horizontal lattice grid is more pleasing than the original's diamond pattern, and the slats seem thicker and stronger. That the wood was already stained for protection from the elements was a bonus, and the price was great considering what was available locally - and none of those arbors were even wood! (We didn't want a metal one.) Also, the spaces are slightly larger than on our original, which made it easier to reattach the vine long-established on the first arbor. Very happy with with the price, and with the arbor itself. Thanks! June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Easy to assemble. Looks good. Sturdy enough for wisteria and roses. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Buy for the money This Garden Habor is very beautiful. It looks better better in person than on the pages online. Looks more expensive than the pricepaid. It does matches the bricks on my house and I have been getting some very good compliments about it.It was easy to put together and without any difficulty. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Goo purchase This arbor looks great and was very easy to put together. The hardest part was anchoring in cement which I guess you could skip if you're not concerned about it blowing over in wind. It has very clear directions and holes were predrilled very accurately. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor customer service from vendor !!! ... don't buy from them !! Easy to assemble but had a warped board and got zero support from vendor on a replacement, instructions said to call their number for parts but... they could care less if I bought there product. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Arbor The arbor is top-heavy so be sure to anchor it. Also, you'll notice that the wood is very light. October 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product. Easy to assemble. It's what it is advertised to be. No problems. It looks nice in the yard. August 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks solid, just put it in place Very nice looking arbor, will put a new finish on the wood as I don't think this will withstand heavy rains of the northwest. Relatively easy to assemble. One caution, step one is screwing the cross bars along the top. Make sure you start outside of where the main wood post attach. If you put the first cross pieces directly above where you will later bolt the boards for the side trelless, you might not have proper alignment of the holes. The side posts extend up just a quarter inch above the side beam and you have a cross piece limiting your position, the holes don't align. Once that was redone, it all fit together nicely.
