Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fizzie Cuts through like butter, quiet and worth the money
Things I like, no gas, minimum noise, chain stops immediately when the trigger is realeased-very safe, cut through 15in. limbs smoothly, no kickback and lightweight.
What I don't like is the window to view the oil level is useless so manual oil checking is needed.
Also I bought a 10 ga. 100ft extension cord and the receptical end is to big to fit through the hole in the handle and loop around as the instructions say. My fault but I wanted no power loss or heating up thus the 10ga cord. I improvised nicely with releasable cable ties which worked out just fine.
I would recommend this product !

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cutter Great while it worked, for an hour
I had a similar experience to Derwood and fishingfast, except mine lasted about an hour or two, and I cut about 8 trees up to about 9 inches in diameter. Then it stopped. The motor ran fine, but the chain would not move. It was not stuck, as the drive sprocket did not turn either. I took it back to Home Depot, got an instant refund, and ordered another identical saw in hopes it will last, because it was an excellent saw while it worked. I recommend it because of its potential, though if you haven't got time to lose returning and replacing it, I would suggest looking at something else.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rhubarb The chain brake and an auto oiler that works!
I needed an 18 in electric saw at home/remote cabin. Mainly at cabin to clear an overgrown access road with large oak, pine, gum, other brush, that had not been cleared in 25 years. The saw worked flawlessly for two days or 16 hours of running until the human error part kicked in and we dulled the RH cutters and I had left my Dremel sharpener at home.
I read thru the negative reviews, then the positive. Realizing the negs were not as proficient in experience with technical tools as I am, I leaned toward the positive reviews.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Derwood Worked one day then died
Had some medium size tree removal to take care of around my house. While it worked, it cut through everything with no problems. It is rather heavy on the bar oil use. Then for no reason, the chain stopped moving forward. I could manually move it backwards, but no more forward movement. Getting ahold of Green Works is not easy either. They're only open 8-5 and even then sometimes they don't answer, and the support forms on their website are completely useless. Filled the thing out twice and never heard back.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fishingfast Great $100 investment !
The only bad thing I can say bad about this product. Is something broke inside the case and it stopped working. It worked flawless in cutting a full cord & a half of wood up to 20" before the problem. With the 90 return policy being part of the 4 year warranty. The Home Depot let me return it back to the store & refunded me the full purchase price. With out hesitation I'm buying a replacement. Of the exact same saw !

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Awesome and very powerful electric chain saw
The saw is great for the job it is designed. I took down a med. sized tree and cut it all up with no issues at all. It was very fast for an electric saw. Value for the money!!! The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because the cord gets in the way, however it does start at a pull of the trigger so its a good trade off.

This chain saw is lighter and easier to use than my gas power chain saw, however it is made with plastic. It lasted about 3 hrs of light cutting of branches and logs about 8" in dia. then something broke inside and the chain stop moving. Glad I purchased from home depot were returning is easy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clint Great saw for the money
The first use right out of the box the saw performed flawlessly. I have used it to cut some large trees and branches it cuts through like butter. I know it being electric you have to carry around the electric cord but compared to trying to pull start gas saws i will carry that cord all day long.
