Customer Questions & Answers

Can this be plugged into a standard 120v outlet?

Asked by: dixiedog
Yes, in fact I plugged mine into my garage's wall outlet. You'll want to use a 14 AWG all-temperature extension cord (I have a lot of property so, mine is 100 ft. long).

Does this have a rechargeable battery where it could run without an extension chord, or plug in/chord operation only?
Asked by: KBS
No, an extension cord MUST be used with this, preferably a 14-gauge one.

Greenworks Corded Electric snowblower (Model GW26032) - It did the job, BUT... This product was okay...I bought it because I wanted an electric snowblower that could handle terrain that is "sloped with obstacles", which my property has. I just don't feel comfortable working with a gas snowblower. I was really hoping that this product would have been the one! We had a total of 10 inches of snow today, and I thought this product would handle it with ease. Not so. I had to go over my driveway 3 TIMES to get the powdery/slushy snow mix off my driveway! We won't discuss my sidewalk and walkway efforts. The chute did work well, however. It didn't clog at all so, I didn't have to use my snow chute clean-out tool at all, which was a plus. The one negative was with the chute turn separated from the main handle pretty often. I did have to re-screw it onto the handle 8 times while working, which became annoying. I think that I could only recommend this product if one had 6 inches or less of snow to remove. Any more than that...well, you'll have to put forth quite a bit of effort with this thing! It just won't do it by itself. I really don't think it's worth what I paid for it...I definitely expected better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick setup and easy to run! After a blizzard hit our region recently and I spent a few hours each day just to clear tire-sized tracks down my driveway, I decided it was time to get a small snow blower. I compared a few machines on this website and decided on this snow blower. It arrived just in time for another snow fall. This machine was easy to setup and was running within minutes of taking it out of the box. It worked with ease in the fresh 3-5 inches that fell and it even cleared the frozen snow that was still sitting at the bottom of the driveway from the blizzard. I was able to clear out the entire driveway in less than an hour, where as before, it would take me a few hours just for a couple tracks. And no back or shoulder pain. Overall, I am very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product Really happy with this snow thrower. When we actually had snow in Michigan this winter it worked very well. The distance it threw the snow surprised me. The image of the product online is not the latest so make sure you look it up online before you buy to make sure you are aware of the changes to this years model. The differences are the following: the image shows that this model has a lower handle above the thrower which is not true, mine did not come with this handle; also, the wheels are larger on the image than what I received. These errors were minor in my mind and didn't change operation. You can look up reviews on other sites and they mention the same thing. Overall very happy, good warranty, metal blades, no issues this winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect purchase i am an older woman petite, i needed to be able to throw snow on a three car garage driveway. I can handle a bit of shoveling; steps, an area for small dogs out back. I did not want to bother with gas or mixture there of. didn't want anything much bigger than my lawn mower. i was really surprised at how VERY VERY WELL this blower works. i am so pleased. it takes me a little less time outside less shoveling but i have time and shovels I only have one back and no aches and pains when done love it love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great little snow blower and gets the job done. Since purchasing this item, it hasn't snowed so I really couldn't give a review. Finally, we had a couple of inches of snow this past Saturday and I tried it out. I am a 65 yr. old woman with no upper body strength and this was extremely easy to push - very lightweight. The only problem (if you could call it a problem) was making sure the outdoor extension cord was out of my way. We have a long driveway but fortunately have outdoor outlets both in the front and the back of the house so it was convenient to plug it in. Also, the fact that I didn't have to mix gas and oil and then pull start the old gas snowblower saved alot of time and energy. For the price and no shipping and handling, this was a great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money well spent! I live in Alaska and while we don't get snow like where I grew up (Michigan's Upper Peninsula), we do routinely get several feet. Unfortunately for me, this arrived after freezing rain fell on the snow that already lay in my driveway. Fortunately for me, this machine was up to the challenge. It cleared through about 5 inches of iced-over snow that covered a space about 1-1/2 cars wide and 2 cars long. It was so quiet that my neighbor didn't even hear me using it in the evening. I used it this morning to clear the 5-6 inches that fell overnight. It made short work of the driveway and I feel incredibly accomplished. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I found it very easy to assemble. The only issue that I have had with it is that it tends to accumulate snow around the exterior of the chute which needs to be carefully removed because it makes it difficult to turn the chute in the direction you want. All in all, it's a minor inconvenience. I really think you should consider carrying this in your stores and not just online! I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who asks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little snow blower Easy to assemble and worked right out of the box. Have been able to use three times in past two weeks. Just got what measured out to be 1 foot of snow here in MO on 2/5/14. This unit worked through it just fine. Granted, it was very dry powdery snow. Planning to try a heaver cord as my 14-2 is pretty stiff to work with when temp is in single digits or below 0 as it has been here lately. I'm told the heaver cord will let the blower run stronger also. It throws the snow pretty well. However, as with any blower, you have to be mindful if the wind shifts or you'll look like frosty the snowman. This beats shoveling anytime! It's fun to use. Enough so that I don't mind if it snows some more! You will need to keep the area around the directional chute cleaned out. Ice built up and froze overnight while stored in my garage which made it difficult to adjust the direction. Took only a few moments to clean that out though. I would prefer the starter handle was a bar that went all the way across like some other brands have. That way you can keep it running using either hand. Definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a corded snow blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised - I woudl recommend it! I received the Greenworks 20 in. Corded Electric Snow Blower as a Christmas gift along with a 100 foot 12 gauge cold weather extension cord. It was easy to unbox and assembly was trivial. A few days ago was my first chance to try the snow blower. We had about 3" of snow that was very wet. That was followed by mixed rain and sleet, so I had about 3" of slush in my driveway which is made of pavers. I did not expect the snow blower to handle this but thought I would give it a try. Well, it cleared it away pretty well. It did not throw it very far, maybe 6 feet but that was enough to make it well worth using. I was quite surprised it was able to clear this wet slushy mess. We were expecting freezing overnight so I wanted to get it cleared away before it froze. Today we had 8 inches of snow. The temperature has been in the 20s for 2 days so the ground is cold and the snow is fairly light and dry. The snow blower went through 6-9 inches of snow with no problem, throwing it at least 20 feet. As long as I kept an even pace it did not bog down. It even went through about 8 inches of the leavings of the snow plow, 3 hours after they plowed the street. I am very pleased so far with the snow blower and the extension cord, which stayed nice and flexible. Overnight we had the second half of the storm. By noon I had 10 to 16 inches of snow on the driveway and walk way. So time to put this blower to the test. First, it works really well up to about 9 inches of snow. When you get over 10, which is more than it is rated to do, it becomes more work because you have to tip the blower back to get the top portion of the snow then go back and get the lower portion. But remember the blower is only designed for up to 10 inches. For some of these high sections I did a 1/3 width cut through about 14 to 16 inches such that the snow was to the side of the output chute so it did not block it. I literally carved a shelf under the deeper snow. As I pulled back the snow would fall and I would make another pass to blow it away. Or, in some places I used a shovel to knock down the higher sections and used the blower to blow it away. Once you get past 10 inches you have to push the blower into the snow with much more force. You can reduce the effort by doing a smaller width. But through it all the blower worked very well. I was at it for about 90 minutes and the snow blower never missed a beat. A snow storm of this depth is not common so I think this snow blower will be perfect for the typical 4-8 inch drops we normally get. Overall I am very satisfied. But if 10" or above is your norm you might want to consider something larger. You can use this one for morer than 10 inches but it is a considerable amount of effort and it is really not made for it. Overall it worked as advertised and I am very satisfied with my purchase. :D
