Customer Questions & Answers

Is the mounting bracket wide enough to mount to wood studs 16 inches on center
Asked by: Bob
No, it will not mount as you described. HOWEVER, the sink is very light, and using molly's to fasten the mounting strip works just fine. My application (as a basement utility sink) may not be as fussy as yours, so you may decide not to try this. I did have a surface conduit running at the right position, so I set the bottom edge on the conduit for stability. See photos. I think that you could run a strip of 1" quarter round below the bottom edge that would not be noticeable.

All i need is the drain do you guys have that ?

Asked by: celso
Home Depot has all the connecting stuff you will need. I like going there for assistance on weekdays (I avoid weekends because of how busy everyone is). You will need a length called a Tailpipe, you will need a P-trap, and you will need a waste extension. Maybe some other connections/reducers, etc. as well. I recommend that you use the PVC and not the chrome (better water tight connections). If you have to use couplers, reducers, or angle connections you will need two part pipe cement. You will also need plumbers putty to set the sink drain into. You will also need two flexible faucet lines. In the event that you have to make connections to water lines, I recommend you consider compression fittings in case you are not handy sweating copper joints. There is also a set of products called PEX, but I think that system is too costly. Sounds like I may have passed along too much information. Your best bet is to ask for help once you get to the plumbing department. Home Depot has very knowledgeable and friendly reps. They will happily walk you through it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, but you get what you paid for First this sink is very inexpensive, in both buying and the thickness of the metal. You will be amazed how thin they have made it. If you install it with only the mounting bracket, it will flex and feel very cheap. I put Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive around it where the metal makes contact with the sheet rock and it made a world of difference. Without caulking around it, I would not want it. The quality of the faucet and other parts are okay, not great, but adequate. With the caulking I'm happy with it. It is a great all inclusive price.
