1. Inconsistent lengths
2. Greasy black coating that will make a mess of your nice white trim
3. The heads are very poorly shaped.
I bought 1 lb. packs of 4d, 6d and 8d nails. Some were made in Viet Nam and others were made in Dubai, all were inconsistently sized, greasy, and had poorly shaped heads. The photos show the differences in these nails and those from an older box of American made nails of the same size and type.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lucas NO Dimple on product - product specs say it has one
The product specs clearly state that this product has a "cupped" head for countersinking. IT DOESN"T. This makes it nearly impossible to set correctly without slipping off the nail and making a mark on the wood with the nail set. Home Depot, PLEASE return these products to Grip Rite as defective and acquire new product from another supplier.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by khp247 A decent nail for a great price
Being very thin nails you will of course get the odd bent one here and there but that is normally to do with the wrong hammer angle, ie lack of basic hammering skills. I bent a couple whilst doing a huge paneling job and that was only because I was at an awkward angle up a ladder, and when that did happen I just adjusted myself and hit the nail square on without any issue.
A previous reviewer moaned about these nails bending but I guarantee that was because of their lack of hammer skill and not the actual product. I have used three full boxes of these and will continue to use them for future projects around the home.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by cougar Has issues
The box claims they have countersunk heads but a majority do not; many have high points on the head which make it difficult to countersink with a center punch.
Also they have some sort of black on them that gets on your fingers then onto the molding you put up, which needs to be wiped off. Not a huge deal but I found it better to wipe them off with a wet-wipe prior to using.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Padraig Poorly Manufactured
These nails are poorly formed. The points are often improperly trimmed so that bits of metal adhere to the diagonal sides because they haven't been cut off in the manufacturing process as they should be. The heads frequently lack a dimple or are sloped so that a countersink slides off and gouges the adjoining wood.
Who want to have to cull bad nails before beginning a job? I won't be buying these from Home Depot again.
