Galvanization is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, in order to prevent rusting. These spikes are bright steel with no zinc coating. I'm 99.9% sure these spikes aren't galvanized.

According to the specs, they are made of steel, usually if a metal product is galvanized it will be stated in the description, with that being said I'm confident these spikes are not galvanized.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst box of nails I have purchased these boxes for years, and this last one has to be the worst box of nails I have every had. About 50% of the nails were either 1" or more shorter than six inches, had bad or missing heads, or had left over steal stuck to the point. Additionally, there was a baseball size ball of grease still stuck in the box from the factory, which made an awful mess of things when we were sorting through the nails to find 'good enough' ones to use.
