The Security Door was just what I was looking for and enhanced the "deck" appeal of my property! I was hoping to find it in a tan or brown color but the black color was only in the inventory. Had it been in brown or tan I would have gotten one for the front door, too. The installer was pleased with the installation process and felt it was a most secure mount. It closes and latches in fine fashion!

We purchased this door for security reasons for a door on the back of our house. The door is nothing fancy, doesn't look very nice, but serves the purpose. The problem with this door is after it's drilled into the frame there will be 11 open holes in the frame. I've contacted Home Depot about covers for these holes and the manufacturer says they don't make covers. We have a different brand of security door on the front of our house and it's so much nicer, and came with screws/covers that did not leave open holes around the frame. So I would definitely not buy this door again!

The door is sturdy but the mesh is not fastened tightly so it rattles when the door closes.
The opening for the handle and deadlock are not arranged properly. the top opening is
in line with the door knob of the entrance door knob. I have to make up a blank to cove the hole there is no way to install the deadlock without it hitting the door knob. Hanging the door to open from the right was out of the question. both doors need to open from the same way or you fight the screen door trying to get into the house. There is little to no room on the top of the door to mount a closer so I'll have to add a piece of 1/4'" flat stock spanning the top of the door. I will say that the door is a secure door and serves the purpose of giving security and above a standard aluminum screen door. I bought the door on-line and if I had seen it in the store I wouldn't have bought it. Save your money and a lot of aggravation. Again the door is secure and other than that it is not anything like the door I installed some years ago on the front door, I would never put this door on a main entrance it is strictly for the side door or rear door.

This security door looks better in person than in pictures. Overall the install was not to bad. I would highly recommend using wood screws first before using the one way screws. I was able to get it done by myself with the help of my broom helping me hold the door in place. Install time was about 2hrs, and I am not handy by any means.
The only disappointing thing about this security door is the mesh. The holes are a little too big for my taste. Aside from the door is solid.

My android didn't show a way to load a photo of my door installation but my laptop does. I did not find an edit feature for my original post to add this picture. My review was titled Mother in law install job.

This screened exterior metal security door adds great value and security to our home. It looks great! It was easy to install and we now can have fresh air while keeping our pets outside! The interior door is mostly glass and looks good but we love this new addition to the exterior!

The installation is easy if the dimensions are correct. I bought a 34" wide door to install in a 36" opening.
The 3/4" frame in the description is the door only. The mounting frames are 1" so my install including the gap for the hinge was 36 1/4" wide and did not fit inside the door frame. The specifications should include overall width of door and mounting frame.

this is the best security door, mesh screen, double lock, you can leave it open at night.
if someone tries to get through the door , it makes a lot of noise, plus with the security screws
no one can steel or remove your door
