Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by For security or for show? I bought these in white because they look better than the ones from my local hardware store (also white). They install easily enough but I do not feel secure with the strength of these. Because they are the "swing away' style bars they have hinges. There are only 2 hinges, the metal is thin and they are held on by a few spot welds (see the included picture) Whats the point making strong window bars with such weak hinges? I installed these on a porch accessible window that is only 2 feet off the ground. Because of the height these could be kicked in and I think it would only take a few kicks. I am not returning them because I need something on the window temporarily until I custom weld something that looks better and can actually keep out an intruder. April 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple installation. Very secure. Security bar was installed on a ground floor window in a remote part of our house. Easy installation. Able to open the window with ease as well. October 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This product is definitely worth it. This does exactly what we wanted it to do, and that is make it safe to leave our upstairs windows open with a toddler in the house. Relatively easy to install. May 30, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by screws product is good, save yourself some trouble, and get your own screws. September 6, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product is high quality, as I expected. Excellent product. I used the window guard on the inside of a vulnerable window, and, since I don't ever need egress through the window, simply bolted it in place on the window frame rather than using the hinge and latch. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The wrong color. As you can read the product was suppose to be black, I recieved white and I am not pleased. September 20, 2011
