Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PJCC Hands free, upward moblility for high places, strong suction
Best features are upward mobility, hands free backpack with cushioned back, and strong suction. It has cheap plastic parts that require gentle handling.
Upward mobility isn't a term often applied to vacuums. Having designed an environment for young cats who love to climb, it is the main feature I look for in a vacuum. Strong suction is the second must have. My third is a reusable hand washable bag.
Out of the box, I cleaned tall bookcases with an attached scratching post, a cat climbing wall, crates and corners.
I sweep more than once daily and groom my cats. It isn't that there is a great deal of hair. The problem is where it gets caught, upward everywhere!
The built in thermostatic overheat safety feature will turn your vacuum off if it overheats. Be careful to read the directions and take them seriously. Don't block the air passage, but using the correct attachment helps. After the thermostat shut mine off, it would not start again until I took the hose attachment off and put it back on. It snaps off and on easily.
I've a multiple sweeper household and each sweeper has a specific task. I balanced my decision on quality here by weighing the cheap plastic design against the multiple features. Honestly loved the features, including that it was lightweight about 7.5lbs!
Pictured, this backpack sweeper came with 6 attachments, one reusable grey bag that is easy to empty, several disposable bags and a mesh bag to store it all. It would be useful if Gruene had an online marketing video using the various attachments correctly.
The 24 Foot electrical cord allowed me freedom to move in a large room end to end or upward. The expandable 36 inch tube stretches to 60 inches. A handheld handle with an easy on/off button is attached to the stretch tube. Connecting two solid tubes with your choice of attachments adds almost another 3 feet. I used it under the entire queen bed!
The disposable paper bags are small, but the reusable is the best for pets. I need to throw out or clean out a bag after every use in Florida to control bugs.
A disposable bag and small filter are pictured attached to the sweeper. The cover for both are plastic, sometimes the covers did not snap in place easily. It scratches and scuffs easily.
As expected, this snaps securely in the front and puts some stress, like a backpack. on the front chest.
I was excited to use it right away. Breaking it the first time out, I was honest with the company. I was told the warranty did cover burn out, not mine but the vacs. I've a new one on the way.

this is a good vacuum. the cord length is good, the weight is good, the useability is excellent. my only complaint is that the suction is average. i have hardwood floors and persian rugs, so i cannot use a beater bar. i need good suction and this is ok, but not wonderful. i am moving up to a more expensive model for better suction. this has only 800 watts, the one i have just ordered has 1400.
i really do wish that the manufacturers consistently included the water lift ( is that the correct measure?) so i wouldnt have to keep buying units to find out how strong the suction is.
i dont think this is a workhorse. but it's ok

The vaccum was a Christmas present. By the end of March the on and off switch wouldn't work. The switch started to work intermittenly about 60 days out. Now when you press it the vaccum won't stay on. The tools frequently become disconnected at the handle that functions as the connection point as well as the on off switch. The suction of the vaccum is also poor. I frequently have to disconnect the floor attachement to suck up items as small as a popcorn kernel.
This thing is junk. Don't waste your money.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by IMBS1124 It's alright
There is no denying this product is alright for its price. Other than of course the bags are very small and fill up rather quickly the one thing that bothers me the most is the suction, I wish it was more powerful. Having a German Sheppard was the reason I purchased this vacuum because her hair is constantly on my hard wood floors. If I was looking to vacuum other than her hair and dust I would definitely purchase a much better one. Over all is a good vacuum for light cleaning.

This is a great product! I thought it was an odd concept when I first saw this, but it definitely makes sense - it keeps the weight of the vacuum on your back and shoulders, instead of all on one arm like a traditional vacuum. It comes with LOTS of handy tools - I found those all to be really helpful.
One minor complaint... since none of the vacuum's weight is on the floor, it can sometimes be difficult to get enough leverage to push it on carpet. I tried using the carpet tool on one of my rugs and had trouble pushing it - it's like it gets stuck in the carpet fibers. I never had this problem with traditional vacuums because all the vacuum's weight is on the floor. Other than that issue, I love this vacuum!

This back-pack vacuum is handy to use in my laundry/office area. The carpet in these rooms is very low-pile and the attachment for carpets works well in this area. It's definitely not my choice for my other carpeted rooms. I do like the fact that I don't have to pull or push a heavy vacuum around as I clean these rooms. Also, I use the turbo attachment on my stairs - It is very convenient for doing stairs! There are several disposable bags included as well as a permanent cloth bag. The bags are very small so I will probably use them up quickly and revert to the cloth bag.
