0.13 cu. ft. Fine-Grade Orchid Grow Mix is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Better-Gro I'm a novice when it comes to orchids, and have overwatered a few to death. I received a 2-stemmed phalaenopsis on mother's day, and noticed that it was badly needing to be repotted. I've read several negative reviews about this product, as well as Miracle Grow and Better-Gro. Being that this was the cheaper out of the selection, I decided to go with this. I repotted while my phal was in mid-bloom, some of the buds had yet to blossom. I knew repotting this early was going to stress it out, and could potentially drop all the flowers, but I took the chance. Once successfully repotted, I watered twice a week, sometimes once a week (my phal pretty much told me when to water,) and from May to now (Sept.) I still have my flowers in tact. A week and half ago, a coworker abused one of the stems (he made a scratch,) which caused the flowers to start dropping, and eventually the whole stem itself dried up. The other stem was still doing well. I had to repot (again, 2nd time in 3mos,) to be able to cut the dead stem, and repot better. It's been a week since repotting, and my phal is doing extremely well. Even with the amount of stress it's been thru over the last 2 and a half weeks, it's still thriving.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst orchid mix ever I had new orchids planted in moss which was always wet and causing rot or always dry. Not good for orchids. I was looking for orchid mix and found this at a local store. It does not work. There was more perlite than bark. The plants needed continuous watering. The plants never got hydrated to support good growth. What I need is fine or middle sized bark. Who ever makes it will get my money. This product did not do the job.
