Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool!!! I used this hammer for only two years before I made the gave mistake of leaving the tailgate down and driving away with the hammer on the tailgate. but before that happened I swore I would take it to my grave. I tried most all hammers I could get my hands on and this was by far my favorite, and I finally get a new one. It was very well balanced and the side nail puller was far more useful than I originally thought. The handle is extremely durable and very comfortable to grip. The hammer made it through many demolition stages and framing stages of projects over two years before it finally started to break in or show signs of "experience". And after you use this hammer for any length if time, using anything else just dosn't feel right at all. Overall I really enjoyed this hammer and look forward to putting it back on my tool belt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Framing Hammer Replaced my old 25oz Hart with a 21oz. All the big box stores used to carry Hart hammers, now you have to look around to find them. The new hammer I received is well balanced with the same side nail pull and striker pad as the older Hart hammers. I noticed that the mill work on the head isn't as good as they used to be but its still a good buy, HD had the best price along with free shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hammer of choice I have used the axe-handled, Hart framer for the last 20 years. It is absolutely my hammer of choice for driving #10s and greater. Using a straight handle, the drive power is in the wrist. Using an axe-handle design (slight curve in the handle), the drive power is in the forearm. On #16s or 18s, after the first knock to set the nail, I can sink them in one hit, and with less arm fatigue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this hammer!!! The weight, feel, and durability of this hammer feel good so far. Mind you, I've only had it for about 5 months now, and haven't had a chance to really wail on anything more than a regular nail, or seperating a 2x4 from another, but it's done the job with ease! If ANYTHING, the side nail puller is worth it's weight in gold! I've used that more than anything else as I've been doing a lot of quality demo (not trying to destroy all the old growth wood I'm salvaging for reuse).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Framing Hammer I've used several framing hammers over the years and find this one to be one of the best. It has good balance and swings easily. The 21 ounces is more than enough to do the job without tiring out your arm. I particularly like the side nail pull. It makes extracting nails easy. This is my go to hammer for all framing work. All at a great price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hammer Description says it all. Great hammer, good weighting. The only negative is the magnetic tip with nail holder. Will nit work because of the rounded around the head of the nail will make contact with when you try to pound it down with no hands. Don't use that feature, so it does not bother me. If your are someone who constantly uses that, you will have to modify it or think about another hammer. Great hammer, I well continue to buy from Hart.
