I used to think a hammer is a hammer. After using this hammer I realized I get what I pay for. It's well balanced and with the extra puller on the side, it's so easy to pull nails that were hard to get to before and for nails I would use a block of wood to help me pull them. I hardly ever bend nails now. I'm glad I lost my hammer I had for years and was forced to replace it.

I'm an old school estwing user. Was surprised at the balance and impact leverage on this hammer

I really enjoyed using this hammer. I bought it along with the estwing 22oz. hammer and this one is slightly more comfortable than the estwing. It also has a few features that i like such as the magnetic nail setter, the thumb indentation, the curved grip, side nail strike, as well as the side nail puller. This is the most comfortable and well balanced hammer I have used in a while.

My rate of bending nails decreased almost to nothing. I know it a framing hammer but I used it the other day on small finishing nails and they didn't bend like before. Nice features.

I've had this hammer for about a year with a hefty amount of use, it's holding up well. As the framer previously stated, the handle grip will start to deteriorate, but at such a miniscule rate. Unless you seriously thrash and throw the hammer at things. It's a soft grip (very comfortable to hold and swing), and acts like soft soled rubber on shoes, which will deteriorate over time if you scuffle your feet around. Plainly put, it survives the abuse, the side pull is phenomenal, and multiple pulling/prying points are nice. I've dropped it, watched it slide off roofs in the rain, and even get run over by an oblivious bobcat driver.... guess what? Still using it without any problems.
If you're worried about the handle, I have the wooden Hart hammer, and it's just as great. I don't think that will stand up to a bobcat though

Not a fan of the waffle head milled face, but I needed a hammer that I could also tear apart freight pallets to get to my product. I prefer wood handled hammers for striking, but they eventually break from the abuse beating and prying. I am fairly confident this hammer will hold up in the years to come.
