I'm trying to figure out what type of fencing or screening I can use to enclosed my small patio(8x9) so my indoor cats can go outside - security is top priority. I'm not sure if this is the forum to ask these questions. If not please direct to right place please. Also, any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

yes, as long as it is attached all the way around or on at least 3 sides as it isn't strong enough to be free standing

Answer:
This product will work to keep in your cats.....you just need to ensure that you staple or nail the hardware cloth at regular intervals around the frame of the openings to ensure they can't pull it back.
Thanks,

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product for what I was looking for I bought this just to put in my planters to keep gophers from tunneling in. it was the correct width but I had to cut it to length and used an angle grinder which worked fine but tin snips would work too. I will not find out for a couple of years if it is still working but I expect it will as it is a large enough gauge to last a long time April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 1/2 of roll unusable!!!!!!!! Building chicken coop and purchased 2 rolls 25' rolls of 4' x 1/2" mesh welded wire fencing. First roll was not too bad only had about 2' wasted due to bad manufacturing. But the second was terrible, close to half of the roll was unusable unless I wanted to use more material to put in some 2' patches. It had multiple wires broken in the middle as well as several spots that were 4' long that had 2 wires right next to each other leaving a 1" openings. All this was before the manufacturer had galvanized it. Tried to return to HD but they couldn't because it was open and 6" used. So, beware you will not get a full roll and that makes this very expensive. Off to Tractor Supply to buy something different. April 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4 feet wide Was looking for this fencing/cloth/mesh in a width greater than 3 ft. Found some at local hardware stores, but it was not long enough for my project. Home Depot had a better price per foot. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product. I bought this to secure the walls in the dog kennel I built for our American Akita dog. It works very well and because of the tight mesh our dog is unable to bite it to get out. The height is also perfect as it allows the dog to stand upright without the need to adjust. Overall a great product at an ok price. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hardcloth used on other cages and has done will, last a long time. August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. We used this cloth to keep critters out of a chicken coop. Works great cuts easily with wire shears. It may be just me but a little pricey. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As expected Very well made. Have used it before. Appears durable as expected. June 28, 2016
