I caulked the bottom edge of the tub along the floor line. I thought that it spread easily and went on smooth. I was pleased. 16 hours later... I was going to order some more today and decided to read the reviews After reading about possible shrinkage, not curing correctly, and the quality, I decided to go and check last nights work and to see if any of these complaints were valid. It has shrink about 1/4 of what it was when I applied it. It was still tacky to the touch, and the biggest bummer is that I can scrape it off easily with my finger nail. ( so no brooms or mops can touch it.) Your wives will not be happy. Now I have to go in and scrape it all off and buy my usual Alex Plus Latex With Silicone. Yes, it is twice the money but not really when you have to do 2 coats. It is paintable, washable, and water cleanup. My time and frustration is worth more. You save no money buying this particular product. Maybe the silicone percentage isn't high enough? I don't know but something is lacking in this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money This stuff is so thin it will only fill hairline cracks without running. Don't even consider using it overhead or you will have it in your hair. Again, 30 minuted to dry is only when sparingly dispensed. I thought Red Devil was the worst until I bought this. They must come from the same factory. DAP or GE for me from this point onward. Those have never disappointed me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money and time!!!!! Using this product was a complete waste of my money and time. I used it overhead to seal cracks in my garage and it dripped out as fast as I put it in. The store wouldn't even stand behind their product. Never again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality! For the price it is very good, easy to work with very comparable to other top brand names. This caulk is great for trim or anything you want to paint after. If you want something better for caulking around bath tubs or exterior wood or vinyl go with HDX Premium Elastomeric Plus Silicone Caulk for $1.00 more

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This stuff is worthless Last summer, I used a case of this HDX brand caulk to fill the small crevices of my tongue & groove ceiling. In all, I caulked nearly a half mile (2520 linear feet), on a ceiling peeking at 13' high, only to have this junk shrink up and reveal cracks. On part of the ceiling, I used Alex brand regular painters caulk, and those crevices still look fresh & tidy. I really regret wasting so much of my time taking a gamble on this junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Glad I only bought 6 tubes The caulk goes on okay. Using it in varied locations, baseboard I installed and sealing the seams on the underside of a metal carport here in Arizona. On the carport, I've allowed plenty of dry time. 48 hours or so. The weather has been cool for AZ, not over 85 in the daytime and down to 55-60 the last couple of nights. I went and checked the caulk in the carport, rubbed my finger on it. and it's plain to see it has not cured at all under the thin skin of the caulk I cut some away and it's still quite wet underneath. Not completely wet, but enough non-cure (maybe 75% under the skin) that I cannot recommend this caulk and I wonder if it will ever cure, because 48 hours and pretty much ideal temps is more than enough time for it to cure. When I put it on it was very cool for here, about 65 degrees, and it was for at least 4 or 5 hours after that, in fact it was cloudy all day and never got over 75 the day I put it on. I do not trust this caulk now and will not buy any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great & Cheap This stuff is a good, solid, easy to use white caulk for most applications around the home. Not perfect but doesn't cost a bunch. Love this stuff and have to have some on hand at all times!
