I purchased mine in June of this year at a local store. You should check your local stores as well! Good Luck!

Does Home Depot carry/sell a compatible replacement light bulb for this HDX Light Stand?

Even though this 1000-watt HDX Light Stand is "discontinued" being sold at Home Depot stores; do you at least sell a compatible replacement light blub that will fit this unit? If so, which bulb would that be?

Customer Reviews

1000-Watt Halogen Work Light with Tripod-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Before deciding this doesn't work make sure it's turned on I say that because I almost made that mistake. Before buying this, I read the review about how the person bought two, and neither worked correctly, and was suspicious as I plugged mine in and saw only one light was lit. I then set to repack it and was about to bring it back but decided to look it over and make sure I wasnt missing something. Well, there is an on/off switch on the back that is hid by a protective knob you have to take off. It actually tells you on the knob to take it off. Once I did and pushed in the button, the other light came on. That's not to say the person who got two broken ones was wrong - maybe theirs was broke. I give it 4 stars because it was only $20 and I'm not expecting it to be perfect. I haven't used it enough, though, to give much more of an accurate review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy again, even at 1/2 price In store pickup was a breeze and this light does put out a ton of light. I got it home and used it that day, but within the first 4 hours one of the bulbs popped (I did not touch the lense) and within a month the second bulb popped. The actual light housings themselves seem to be of acceptable quality, but the brackets that support them will not lock in place. They will stay, but if you touch it you will have to readjust and you just can't tighten them enough to make them stay. I wouldn't buy this light again, and suggest you don't either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Quality Control Bought this product, got home, set it up, and started my project. Within 10 minutes, I heard a loud pop. I came into the room and saw safety glass all over my hardwood floor. As I was investigating the mess, the second light's safety glass burst, showering the floor with chunks of glass. The bulbs were fine. It was the heavy tempered glass fronts that burst. I packed the lights in a big box to contain what glass didn't fall all over the floor and took it back to the store. The lady who works in lighting said she had never heard of this happening and would call the company first thing in the morning. She sent me home with another set. She was friendly and courteous. I set the second set of lights up, meticulous about making sure everything was done correctly (it's not rocket science). 10 minutes later the safety glass burst again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I already have one of these light but it is not on the stand. Now I have two and on a nice movable stand. I am sure that I will be using this for painting and other home projects, but I also bought it for photography purposes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Get what you paid for... Definitely far from contractor grade. Tripod is short and not very stable. It is ok to use for projects around the house. The only upside is cheap price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the price I purchased this tripod for a home painting project. It allowed me to work through the night. It is very light so it is easy to move around. I didn't have any issues with the bulbs, I used this light for approx. 12-14 hours so far. The actual lights themselves move easily so they can light up any work spot. I purchased this in store a few months ago, but it is showing Discontinued online, other than that, I would recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price!!! The light puts out a lot of brightness, you do need to buy a better brand bulbs when you buy this item because it comes with the cheapest bulbs possible, and they burn out at about 20 hours use. Online it cost 19.98$ and 38.99$ at the store. I asked the cashier to price match and they did. Be aware that each light has an off/on switch behind the housing and if its set on off then you might think item is defective when its not. For $19.98 it's a steal. I will buy another one soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Paying for convenience It's a $20 item so don't expect high quality. I needed it for some work around the house and it's perfect for that. If you're in need of a high-end model, look elsewhere. But like I said, for us weekend warriors, totally worth the price. Little less sturdy than I would have liked but the tripod works and the lights are removable (both on a rod) so you can hang, put on steps, etc. Bulbs that came with the product blew shortly after installing so I recommend picking up another pair (got Phillips for $4.97 at the same store and they've lasted a good 20+ hours since then).
