I got this light to replace an old, cheap plastic cage trouble light. While this isn't the most heavy-duty light, it works well for working under cabinets and in tight spaces for light duty tasks. The 13 watt lamp offers a lot of power compared to traditional incandescent work lights. Overall, a good buy for the homeowner or a seasoned DIYer.

I actually love this light. I got it to test it out with no plans of keeping it, but I finally removed the packaging and it is part of my toolbox. Great for cabinet work and other unlite areas. No problems for me as I've used it for the past month.

I bought this light because I had finally destroyed my old one. I ran over it with my car, or it would still be working. It had provided many years of service, even with hard use. I bought one of these and soon found that it was flickering, a lot. I thought that the bulb must be comming out of the socket so I removed the 2 plastic "rivets" that hold the clear plastic lense on. One of the "rivets" broke. I tried reseating the bulb in the socket and now it wouldn't work at all. I removed the bulb and saw that the female contact in one side of the socket had worked its way down so far into the plastic housing that it would no longer reach the pin on the bulb. I took some very thin long nosed pliers and pulled the contact out of the plastic and flared out the end so it would not fall into the socket again. The contact was made of VERY thin, soft metal. OK, now I reassembled the bulb and clear lense. Of course, I only had one plastic rivet now to hold the lense on. Now I start to use the light and I find that whenever I pick up the light and about half the times I set the light in position to illuminate something, the on/off switch gets bumped and the light goes off. Great. There are small ribs on either side of the on/off rocker switch that are not tall enough to protect the switch. Not even close to tall enough. This is a constant bother. So what is my opinion of this product. I think that this light was designed and manufactured with no thought to how well it would serve its purpose. If you pick it up and look at it you might think that it would be OK. If you try to actually use it, you will be sadly disappointed. It was designed to be made with no regard for its function, only to sell with the most profit. Great job. This light was not what I consider inexpensive. It is however cheap. A trash product is never a bargain, no matter how inexpensive it is. I would gladly pay twice what this junk cost for a quality US made product that actually works as it should.
