I had to modify this and the shovel because neither of them had a bolt to keep the heads from coming off. I will include the instructions for installing the bolt below! Pros: *Inexpensive even though I had to modify it *Okay tines Cons: *Handle could be a little longer *I had to put in a bolt Here are the instructions for putting in a bolt 1. Wait for the handle to fall off 2. Drill a hole all the way through the metal rake head with the handle off 3. Put the handle into the rake and use a pencil to mark where the hole needs to be on the handle 4. Put the handle into a vice and drill straight down on your marked area 4. Put the handle back in and put a bolt through the rake head and handle 5. Secure the bolt with the fitting nut That's it this should only take about 5 minute tops Thanks for reading and hope this works for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love MY Rake I Love my new Rake. This is a nice rake, I rake stuff with it all the time. What else can you say about a rake, sure it is cheap but it does the job as good as more expensive rakes, It does not know it was the cheapest rake on the rake rack and I have not told it as I do not want my rake to feel inferior to other rakes out there. I call my rake Ricky I think he likes it although he does not answer to it yet, but maybe one day he will.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of carp The rake end is held on by wood squeezed in a thin metal ferrle. The wood shrinks and when you pull on handle (as in raking) the rake comes out of the handle. There is no pin, screw, or other fastener to keep the end from coming off. Yes, I know it is inexpensive so I would expect the tines to bend, etc. but when the end falls off, you are done raking. Send it back to china! There can be no value if there is no quality. SAVE YOUR MONEY and look at other Ames tools carefully before you buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handle warped in 3 months Seemed like a decent rake for light duty use until mid summer comes around and the wood handle is warped and bowed. It is starting to twist. Pay more elsewhere for something that will last years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless This lasted an hour. The quality and design are worthless. It is tac welded together at the fulcrum point. near the tines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a heavy duty rake. This is not a heavy duty rake, so those looking for one should spend the heavy duty money. If you need an affordable rake for light yard work, this is the one for you. I leveled the soil in my whole yard with this rake, without any issues. It looked perfectly fine after a long day of work, so into my tool shed it went. If I ever needed to buy another affordable rake, I would not hesitate to reach for this one again.
