Rated 4 out of 5 by Simple and Effective Product Although the assembly isn't quite intuitive, I would not say that it took much brain power to assemble. I put this together in 2 minutes after pulling it out of the box. I have it clamped to a 3/4" post and it holds the light just fine. Good value, performs as expected. Probably going to buy another one in the next couple of days. I run the light on a timer so I can speak to the turning it on and off problem. March 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by NO instructions for clamp ! NO On-Off switch ! The item seems just OK so far. I chose it due to the porcelain socket and because it can take up to a 300 watt bulb - still gets hot but nothing like how hot the 150 watt halogen work light gets. CON - there is NO On-Off switch so it must be plugged and unplugged, which is pretty lame. BIGGER CON - there are NO instructions of any kind as to how to attach the clamp, and I did NOT find it to be at all intuitive. Your best bet is to "zoom" the photo on this website with the product in order to see how the clamp fits with the other included mounting piece. August 1, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Thanks 69ChevelleBob, Without You I Would Be Going On Hour 3 Putting the Clamp On!!! All it would have taken for this 65 year old woman to put the clamp on is some simple instructions. One little strip of paper with words on it saying take part A and put it with Part B and a photo. No instructions, no photos not even Chinese or Japanese instructions!!!! I took the parts apart a million times trying to figure this contraption out. I am just a female senior citizen who wants to put a bit more heat on my concrete garden décor as they cure. The guy at Home Depot said there was one part to the clamp that was not difficult to assemble. I hate Chinese instructions that give me parts and numbers and no written word so I asked him. I got home and began the fiasco. If any of you are having difficulty putting this clamp on the light please go to 69ChevelleBob's photo and click on it to make it larger, there you go, 5 minutes and it is on. Thanks guy, I appreciate it a bunch you will never know, now it is time for a beer because I need to vent this frustration, lol. December 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by No assembly instructions! I have the same complaints about this clamp light as the previous reviewer. Although the front of the box says "see back of box for instructions," there are no instructions for assembling and attaching the clamp. The previous reviewer's suggestion to zoom the photo on this web page did help me figure it out, even though the photo doesn't show much detail. The various parts don't fit together that well, and it's difficult to get the lamp to stay put in one position. I too find the absence of a switch on the cord to be very annoying, especially when your wall plug is located in an inconvenient place. August 17, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by The clamp is toooootaly useless therefore it defeats the purpose it is meant to have. Since it does not clamp at all it is a useless product. Also, it does not have an on and off switch. November 17, 2013
