and it can *MOMENTARILY* be dropped in water, and be just fine.
I wouldn't use it as a light while submerged however...
Not without first taking it apart to find all the points that really need to be sealed with silicone glue, and replacing the foam rubber under the glass with an O-ring made out of actual rubber. (and not just any rubber... use viton for the superior heat tolerance.)
And replace the foot long power cord with one that's long enough to go from your power outlet to your desired depth without additional extensions, of course.
It's annoying if you seal the O-ring and glass with silicone
(just to increase the watertight pressure to... something higher than with O-ring by itself,)
and then the filament inside the bulb breaks when you drop the light. Even though the light wasn't even on.
Because then you have to break your watertight seal.
But I'm glad that happened actually, while I was still modifying.
So now I know the bulbs are fragile enough that it's bettor to just have a tight seal with O-ring only, for easy bulb replacement.
Than to have to remove old silicone just to replace a bulb.
By the way, if you do this and get electrocuted...
You did not do it right and I am not responsible. Duh.

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the price This is the same as the old orange one they took of the market, the light bulb lasted 3 months of random use before burn out, coming to find out the bulb cost 60% of the whole light, it resemble a lot to ikea's lamps, they are cost a nickel but the bulb cost you a dollar. better off buying LED lights. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by this light is junk. Junk, Just junk. Got 4 of them to use and have had to return 2 and now the 3rd one just stopped working.Run away don't walk from this light. March 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Deserves the low price Light has a very short pigtail and no on/off switch, makes usefulness very limited. I'll probably replace the cord with a longer one. The angle adjustment is also pretty useless...doesn't hold tight. But I guess its to be expected for a light priced less than $10. Doubt I'll buy another. February 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Light blew after 5 mins plugged in I just bought this yesterday figuring by now as humans we should have gotten out all the kinks in mfg shop lights. Went into the yard and plugged it in btw it's very bright and a good light (if it remains in working order) 2 mins later the light just shut down and that was that. Going to try and replace the bulb or return it outright but seriously c mon it's a light it should not be a challenge to "select" one that will work lol. January 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good cheap work light I've had this light for about 7 years and the bulb just burned out-will get another bulb soon. I found the base not too useful, so I modified it so you can mount it on a camera tripod and aim it just about any direction you need to. I also installed a toggle switch in the back so you don't have to unplug it to turn it off. Some have complained about the super short cord-just use an extension cord. December 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bulb is terrible I set up this unit to use for burning silkscreens. I wore cotton gloves to put the bulb in & yet the bulb lasted a grand total of 2 hours. The unit was left in place, not moved, zero vibrations. I had an old unit & that bulb lasted 6 years and around 600 hours. Will never get another of these. August 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No warranty on bulbs. Light states: There is no warranty on the bulb as life will vary due to voltage surges and handling. I have owned this for less than 2 months and have it in a stationary position at my work bench with no vibration or other negative factors. All my other lights have had no problems in the same environment. Replaced first bulb first week, purchased two pack of new ones and no better results. My guess it must be the fixture. I'm not buying another one. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bright enough!! This light is perfect for me to use while I make my jewelry in a very dim room. I use it at night so that I can continue to work after the sun goes down!! December 26, 2014
