The description mentions "16 Sae and Metric 3/8 Drive Sockets in 6pt and 8pt." I do not see them in the picture nor does the 76 piece count reflect having 16 drive sockets.

Is that reference mistakenly taken from this product?

The 76 piece tool set has no sockets. The 137 piece appears to have sockets and driver bits both. They are pretty different sets with different uses. The 137 piece set is much more complete and would include items for heavier duty tasks. The 76 piece set is good for Kids at college, first apartments and very basic needs in a shop situation. I don't have one of the 137 piece sets, but they look pretty Read More

Answer:
Yes, they have the hex drive. The bits do seem very short for a drill/driver so, I would use an extension bit.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 103 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bought because of other online reviews The selection of tools was OK. They used clamps to round out the number. Not really needed. My problem is that the tools do not snap back into their locations. The expanded plastic mold they fit into is to soft. When you fold the case the tools fall out of the slots. I bought it so that I could have a selection of tools at hand without having to find them in loose storage. Overall tools quality is OK. August 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good set This set is quite handy around the house or office. Each tool seems reasonably well made but inexpensive enough to not hurt if something turns up missing. Only con seems to be the soft plastic case where tools squeeze in, instead of snap in. But still holds them snug. I would recommend picking one up to keep handy. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job I moved into a new home and did not have my tools with me yet. There were small jobs that needed to be attended to before my tools would arrive. So I went to Home Depot and purchased this tool set. In my opinion, I believe it is worth the money paid for. It served my needs very well. It has a basic variety of tools for what I needed to do. The tools themselves are fine for light work. This set is not for professional use. It is just too light weight. So if you need to hang curtain rods, tighten a few house screws or measure then this set is for you. One disappointment that I had was the so called 'life hinge' on the tool box itself. This hinge keeps the box closed so you can carry it around. It is a very short life for these hinges. It is too bad because then the tool box becomes totally useless. Sure you could use a twisty on the handle but that is just an insult to the integrity to the product itself. August 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect gift for my daughters new apartment I purchased this for my daughter who was moving into her first apartment. It is a great set with everything you will need for basic fixes. August 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good second set of tools This set of tools is a good second set for the kitchen drawer, rental property, dorm room, etc. The case included is compact. You could assemble pre-cut furniture, hang a picture, do pinterest crafting projects with what is in the case. The price is half of what you might pay for each tool individually. I have recommended this tool set to friends. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good in a pinch Inexpensive. Don't expect these to last a lifetime but if you need something to get quick or infrequent jobs done it's great. If something breaks I'll replace it as I go with something higher quality, but for now it's perfect. All it's missing are channel lock pliers. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good toolbox for first apartment So far this tool box has had everything I need to set up my new apartment. No complaints. Great price for so many tools July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job None of the tools included are top quality. But after moving from out of state, my primary tool box was "lost in boxes". So for $20 this made a good quick solution to having some basic tools handy. Ideally I was looking for a kit would have been closer to $40 with a bit better quality tool, and a few more options. But that said, this little one has served it's purpose well. Now this kit will be accompanying my son to college, and I expect it to handle any of his needs in dorm life, and then some. June 28, 2016
