Are these shelves really 24 inches in depth? I can see very clearly about the width and height, but I may have to go to the store myself.

I have two of these shelving units and broke a couple of the feet somehow, maybe when sliding them. Since they support the lower shelf, they are quite necessary.

I was able to order just the legs and two shelves that were damaged during shipment. Your paperwork included a website address. If you go to it you will see an option to order parts. If they weren't damaged in shipment then it will list the price for the parts and shipping costs.

Absolutely, yes. I ordered replacement feet for my shelves. I simply sent an email message to the manufacturer listed in the assembly instructions.. They were shipped quickly and at no cost. I may be able to search my computer for the address, but it would be better if you used the address on your instruction sheet, since it may have changed..

Yes. You can assemble as few shelves as you want. You could create 2 separate shelve stacks however the second just won't have the feet to keep the bottom shelf off the floor which would not be an issue if you aren't worried about moisture.

Can the shelf units be connected? That is, can the shelves of two units share a support pole so that one may "string together" two or more units?

Answer:
No, the rack is a true standalone system. There are four poles per corner. Each pole is reduced diameter to fit in the top of each shelf and full size to fit in the bottom of the shelf above it. You could conceivably connect two sets to go higher but it wouldn't be practical in most cases. Hope this helps.

Answer:
Yes, the pieces are the same between sets so long as you stick with the 24x36-inch shelf (or with matching sets of the 18x36), so you could keep going up higher with more shelf levels if you want. Just keep in mind the load and balance factors if you try this. One unit fits nicely in a room with a standard ceiling with room for lifting fruit-box sized boxes onto and off of the top shelf.

Answer:
No, the shelves can not be connected because they do not share a common pole. The poles are designed to support one shelf. If you want stability, I purchased some Carlon plastic clamps from Home Depot, along with some dry wall molly bolts, and bolted the shelf to the wall. This prevented
the unit from tipping over and made for a sturdy unit.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Garage Organization Complete!!! I grew tired of seeing items in my garage stacked on top of one another. During my annual garage clean up I noticed rodent droppings!! YIKES!!!!! That did it. I began searching the Home Depot app for a shelving unit. This had great reviews, and seemed easy to assemble. I purchased it online, and picked up in the store with no problems. Got it home and assembled in it about 7-10 min top. Now all of the crates, car cleaner accessories, yard miscellaneous items are all thoroughly organized and easy to see and reach. I find myself sitting on the bench in my garage just staring at the shelving unit. I absolutely love it. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Odd set Overall it is a sturdy shelving unit, and works well for storage. The issue I had with it was that almost all the tubes had been warped, and didnt fit into the holes on the shelves. I had to either pound it together, or shave off the extra to fit it together, which was a pain. In the end I got it together it is sturdy and works for what I need. Would have been more stars had the unit not had so many defects. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Be In A Rush Purchased 4 of these shelving units. They are simple to assemble and, while a little wobbly, they are fine for my purposes. But if you need these in a hurry beware, they are often missing parts or have parts that don't work. Of the 4 sets I purchased: 1 set was fine, 1 set was missing a leg, 1 set had an extra leg, 1 set had 2 legs that were not made properly and were about an inch and a half short. The manufacturer is quick to replace any parts you need (they enclose a big notice with contact information) but if you plan to assemble and stock the shelves right away you may find yourself waiting for parts. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SHELVING UNIT Found this shelf to work out great for my storing needs. Sturdy and plenty of room . Thinking of adding another one. Was easy to assemble. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I should have bought this a long time ago! I love these shelves. They are easy to install and are pretty durable! If you not planning on putting a lot of weight on the top you can take the a shelf out to make a bigger section if needed. September 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost Great... Reason for Title was that the included shelf supports were not all same length... Confusing but not a serious problem. Simply cut the offending support to match others and re-assembled unit... What caused the confusion was that all supports come in same bag and the difference really wasn't noted until putting last two shelves together. But problem solved and unit makes a great storage unit for my shop.. September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very functional My only issue with this storage shelving is that there is quite a bit of straggly plastic, some of which just doesn't look good and some of which needs to be trimmed before everything fits together solidly. Not a huge issue for me. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by too much hassle This shelf unit is fairly expensive for a bunch of plastic pieces! They are very poorly trimmed at the factory and I had to spend way too much time getting them to look and fit correctly. September 6, 2016
