Product Overview

The HDX 4 ft. x 100 ft. Barrier Fence can be an excellent alternative to traditional steel wire fencing. The lightweight plastic fence is easy to transport and easy to install. It tears down easily. The orange color makes the fence highly visible in dangerous areas such as construction sites. Consider using it for shorter-term applications such as construction sites, newly-paved or sealed driveways, newly-poured concrete or unsafe areas.

  • Plastic material bends easily to form the barrier shape you need
  • Bright orange color for high visibility to prevent accidents around messy or unsafe areas
  • Lightweight material for an easy-to-transport and an easy-to-disassemble fence
  • For short-term applications including construction areas and newly-poured concrete sites
  • Approximate mesh size of 1-3/4 in. x 2-1/5 in.

orange barrier is perfect on this job, but what stakes or post do i buy?
Do I use zip-ties to connect barrier to post?
one end of my barrier starts by exit door&wall on a 4' x 3' slab of sidewalk so I cant put a stake in the ground, what can i attach to wall to begin my fence?
last questions...how many feet between each stake? I'm going 100' in a strait line on VERY hard dirt.

Answer:
Since you are on very hard dirt, I would recommend the standard metal T posts and a post driver. If your dirt is really hard then the wooden posts are just going to fall apart tying to pound them in. You don't really need zip ties because you can just weave the holes in the fence back and forth over the post to hold the fence up. The distance between posts will depend on what exactly you are using it Read More

You don't really need zip ties because you can just weave the holes in the fence back and forth over the post to hold the fence up. The distance between posts will depend on what exactly you are using it for. If is is just a basic barrier 15' apart will be fine. If there is going to be pressure/resistance against it then you should bring them closer together. Once again, it just depends on what you are using it for and how much pressure will be on it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Snow fence Bought this as a snow fence to prevent drifting across my driveway. It worked adequately for that purpose but would probaby be better if the product had more surface and less open spacing (holes too big.) It was very easy to put up because it is so lightweight. I put it up intending for it to stay only a few weeks during snow season. I fastened it to steel posts with twist ties -- very easy. Next year I will probably put it up again but double it so not so much snow blows right through. March 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for alpacas I bought it to help corral my alpacas from one place to another so I don't have to chase them everywhere. Works great. I'm not sure if it would be good for bigger, more agressive animals as they may try to run through it but the alpacas see it and just walk right along it. July 22, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 4'x 100' barrier fencing This is an economical fencing. If its strung between trees with an upper guide wire it will work ok. However if its used in a free standing unit it will blow over in the wind because it traps too much air July 10, 2012
